Nike Gripknit makes an appearance: a sticky material that provides a better touch on the ball. It adapts to the shape of your foot and gives you equal grip in wet or dry conditions for a sculpted, court-like fit. The micro-moulded texture works with Gripknit to help conform to your foot for even better cleat-to-ball strikes.
The full Flyknit upper is designed for speed. Atomknit, an incredibly lightweight and strong Flyknit, on the sides reduces weight and provides support. Gripknit, Atomknit and Flyknit combine to form the thinnest Mercurial upper to date, bringing you closer to the ball and reducing break-in time. Dynamic Fit collar wraps the ankle with soft, stretchy fabric for a secure feel.
The wave-shaped traction pattern is a series of cascading studs, so it involves more surface area of the Air Zoom unit.
