Tonight, all football fans will be glued to their screens to watch the big matches on offer in the Champions League. As well as thrilling encounters, we’ll also see some special boots – unique football boots that only four players will be wearing. The brand with the three stripes has today unveiled a very limited edition pack featuring two retro boots, two iconic models that defined an era from the moment they were launched. We’re talking about the F50 and the Predator Pulse, which are making a comeback today but with a few new details.
In 2004, adidas first launched the Predator Pulse model, boots worn by great champions such as Zizou and many others. From that moment on, they made history, becoming one of the most beloved boots of all time. In 2021, adidas decided to reintroduce them, practically identical to the 2004 version… or almost. The upper is exactly the same as it was 18 years ago; the only change adidas has made is to the sole, incorporating the one from the current Predator Freak.
The same applies to the F50 Adizero Prime, which were launched in 2011. Since then, the concept of speed football boots has changed, and if we now have models such as the X Speedflow, it is also thanks to the boots mentioned above. In this case, adidas has also revived the same upper from the original model, combining it with the sole of the current X Speedflow. A perfect combination to fully express the concept of speed.
The colourway is inspired by the Champions League, the most beautiful and exciting competition in the world. The F50 Ghosted boots feature dark blue, violet-fuchsia and, finally, metallic grey. Oh, we almost forgot… We mentioned earlier that these are super-exclusive boots and that only four players will be wearing them.
