We have already made it through the first month of the year, the one that seems to have twice as many days as the others, and that makes us realise just how optimistic we were when we set our New Year's resolutions. But we're not here to judge your excuses for why you haven't joined the gym yet, or the reduction from 20 to 19 cigarettes a day that you've achieved. We're here to introduce you to the new Nike Shadow Pack, the American brand's latest collection with black as its main colour.
Who said black boots were boring? Nike shows us that it's not the colour that matters, but the design, and that it's possible to make black football boots that are eye-catching, aggressive and have the personality that only the American brand knows how to bring to its products. For the new Nike Shadow Pack, Mercurial and Phantom are dressed in black, with silver and gold being the colours responsible for highlighting all the details of these new Nike football boots.
We will begin by analysing Phantom GT2, the American brand's total silo. We say total silo because Nike Phantom GT2 football boots are capable of meeting the needs of many types of footballers. These boots have a wide last, but they manage to provide a feeling of pressure and support thanks to the Flyknit in the instep area. They also have enough structure to provide good contact with the ball, which does not mean that they are not lightweight football boots. In short, a combination of several factors means that players who are comfortable with Phantom GT will not want to try anything else.
Moving on to the design, we have something in line with what the boot conveys. Technology and contemporaneity are two attributes that come to mind when we see these football boots, which, without any major eccentricities, manage to attract attention due to the placement and distribution of their colours. This time, black has taken control of the Phantom GT2 football boots, leaving all the limelight to the supporting actors, two colours that are responsible for making the details catch our eye.
These two colours are silver and gold. The former is used to colour all the lines that run across the height and width of the upper of these Nike football boots, while the latter only comes into play when the brand logo requires it. I would like to make special mention of the swoosh on the inside of the heel. The gold border, a colour that cannot be missing from this design when the swoosh appears, and the interior of the logo in silver with a shiny finish, make this, in my opinion, the most beautiful detail of a great design.
Finally, we'll talk about Nike Mercurial football boots, the flagship product of the swoosh brand, that unstoppable beast that seems to improve with each generation. The latest restyling of Nike's speed silo was born with a sky blue colour that seemed to be the reason for the positive visual impact that this new design had on all of us, but nothing could be further from the truth. Today, seeing them in all black, Mercurial shows us that colour doesn't matter when you work so well on a design and all the elements that appear in it.
We have seen many Nike Mercurial football boots in black, but we would dare to question whether any better ones have been released than these, aesthetically speaking. The gold and silver details play a fundamental role this time, becoming the absolute protagonists and giving Nike's flagship product a mix of aggression and class rarely seen before. The fine gold lines that Nike has incorporated into the design of the new Nike Mercurial football boots stand out more than ever against the black background of the Shadow Pack, giving them a brightness that was previously lacking in boots of this colour.
But if there is one thing we must highlight, it is the swoosh on the outer area. The first one is silver, with a wide outline that does not need to be filled in thanks to the relief given to the brand's logo. The second, the same size but less prominent as it appears to be located behind, is made up of a series of fine gold lines, creating a symbiosis between the two that elevates these new Nike Mercurial to the aesthetic podium of the football boots currently on the market.
That's all about the new Nike Shadow Pack, a black base for Phantom and Mercurial, where the details make all the difference. Now available both in stores and on the Fútbol Emotion website.
