In case you hadn’t noticed, winter is behind us and we’re well and truly into the warmer weather of spring. That’s right, it’s time to put your winter clothes away, leave the muted colours behind and join in the fun. Puma’s football boots have been revamped, as have their colourways, with the Puma Future Z and Puma Ultra football boots now sporting suitably fresh colours.

Sunshine and joy will be everywhere. It’s in your football boots, on the streets, on the pitches, in the parks, and in the promise you make to yourself: never look back and never give up. No matter what. Great beginnings come when you look beyond the ordinary, the good, and the better. The Spectra Pack features bright, vibrant graphics inspired by refracted colour bands, encouraging you to look beyond the ordinary and create moments that give meaning and significance to the sport, to our beloved football boots: from the final rounds of the club season to the finals of major international tournaments, all in this Spectra Pack from Puma.

The base colour for both the Future Z and the Ultra is white, providing the perfect canvas for some of the brightest pops of colour to shine through. For the Future Z, the FuzionFit+ adaptive compression band returns. It is the centrepiece of the boot’s design, and Puma once again places the emphasis squarely on it, highlighting its ability to provide optimal lockdown and support for the most intricate movements. It comes as no surprise that these will be the football boots Neymar will be wearing following his brief fling with his ‘Creativity’ colourway. He will be joined by all the other Future wearers, including James Maddison, Luis Suárez and Marco Reus.

The Puma Ultra features a design that is similar yet contrasting to the “Game On” collection, with the colour woven into the ultra-lightweight Matryxevo upper, whilst the lightweight Pebax SpeedUnit outsole features a chrome gradient effect running from the forefoot to the heel.

Technical features: Puma Future Z Spectra Pack

The new Future Z is built around this compression band, known as the adaptive FuzionFit+, which provides optimal lockdown and support for movement, as well as enhanced agility to further support multi-directional movements. As you would expect, it features the built-in GripControl Pro for a refined touch and perfect ball control. To further support multi-directional movements, the Future Z features an innovative ‘Z’-shaped outsole known as the Dynamic Motion System, strategically positioned to deliver the best possible traction in every game situation. It’s no secret that the Future Z is designed without compromise, so you can overcome every challenge on the football pitch. It is designed to suit all tastes and is intended to aid dribbling, creativity and daring. This boot is surely the perfect answer to the latest innovations. Furthermore, players who want to keep the ball at their feet and need an agile, responsive boot to support their creative style of play will find exactly what they’re looking for.

Technical features: Puma Ultra Spectra Pack

As we explained in our previous post on the new Puma ULTRA football boot, the German brand has combined a fully dynamic silhouette with an extremely lightweight upper, known as MATRYXEVO. It is a fully engineered, technologically advanced boot featuring an outsole designed for instinctive running. The MATRYXEVO upper allows Puma to use a single layer of material, bringing this fabric much closer to the foot, whilst providing exceptional support with extraordinary lightness. This is the first time this material has been used in a football boot. In addition, an extra component has been applied throughout the upper: a GripControl Pro skin in key areas of the shell to provide complete control and precise grip on the ball when moving at extreme speeds. Attached to the upper is a lightweight Pebax SpeedUnit outsole, featuring a bifid outsole design inspired by Puma’s stud DNA for dynamic acceleration. The outsole features subtle triad-shaped studs in the forefoot and V-shaped blades for added aerodynamics, engineered for explosive speed.
