How do I keep my socks from falling down?

This time we are going to focus on a problem that I'm sure has happened to all of you at some time, and that is that annoying feeling when your stocking falls down and there is no way to get it to fit properly. Well, for all of you, we are going to see several tricks to solve it.

If you've been kicking a ball around for a few years, you've probably noticed that your football socks have fallen down and are too low. This is very, very annoying, especially when you are in the middle of a match and you are constantly trying to adjust the garment.

Why does this happen?

Regardless of the brand of football socks that you use in your teams, it is most likely that the sock has widened with use and therefore loses its grip. This can happen because we want to wear them too high and therefore stretch them too much, ‘breaking’ the thread and causing them to become loose.

And of course, of course, it can also happen because we are not wearing the right size of football socks, which is essential if we want to keep our socks from slipping down, so that we can wear them high, low, or however we want, without them slipping down or moving.

How do I fix it?

Once we have the problem, if it is a size problem, we will have to ask our club for other socks, or we will have to buy a pair of our own. In Futbolemotion we have both Sp football socks, and adidas football socks, and more brands, with different options, such as extra long standard size.

But if they have come loose or have become too loose, one option that many players opt for is to put on tape, adhesive tape or tape on the upper part, thus adjusting the sock, this usually works, but we must be careful not to tighten the football tape too much, because otherwise it will be very annoying. Another alternative is to fold the sock well with two or three folds at the top, playing with what is left of the elastic part, and therefore when folded it remains fixed and tight, especially also by the stopper exerted by the shin guard.

Change of socks?

As a last option we can choose to change the socks for one of our taste if the club allows it, or else cut the socks, and use technical socks, (something we always recommend), and wear cut socks, a topic of which you have a specific post.

This will allow you to wear your socks high if you like, and they will not fall down when you wear them above the knee. But don't forget to make sure that the pressure is not too much, otherwise you will notice that your calves will gradually become loaded.

And so, we have a couple of tricks to fix the problem of low stockings, but remember to choose the right size, and adjust the stocking well if you use any of the other methods. If you choose to wear other tights, or cropped tights, the problem will also be solved, as long as the tights hold up. Do you have any other tricks to hold your tights in place?
