We have a new design, a new upper and a new sole, so let's take it step by step. The new upper is called Techleader, which, as usual, is not made of natural leather. The idea with this Nike Tiempo was to go back to the beginnings of the silo and give us a boot designed for the creative footballer, the footballer who stands out from the crowd.
However, this case gives it a really special touch and changes the feel we had before. It is a very, very soft case, which is even more surprising coming from the Flytouch+, which was already soft.
The upper is also slightly wider in the midfoot, which will be appreciated by many with wider feet, and we also have a new side design with a raised pattern that will help with grip during control and shooting. This is a clear step forward, as it makes this boot incredibly soft and gives us a really comfortable fit and touch.
Moving on to the sole, this has been changed and is now divided into two parts. Although the design itself is similar, with conical and laminated studs, we have a more aggressive distribution and a very slight increase in the size of the studs, giving us a slightly more stable sole with better grip on the pitch.
In conclusion, this new Nike Tiempo Maestro leaves behind ten generations of ‘Legend’ and gives us a boot that goes back to the depths of time, with excellent comfort, a very special touch and a more adaptable sole and last. We will see over time where the new Maestro boots fit into the history of Nike Tiempo, but they look very, very promising. Available from the 22nd January on the Futbol Emotion website.
