La Liga is ending its partnership with Santander Bank and becoming LALIGA EA Sports. Yes, it's all in capital letters. The deal is worth around €60 million and will also include the second division, which will be called LALIGA HYPERMOTION. This curious name refers to the technologies used by EA Sports to provide the most realistic experience yet.
It seems that La Liga's goal is to change the way football is viewed and attract the attention of younger fans by using and developing graphics during matches, among many other changes that will not only revolutionise football in Spain, but also the industry as a whole.
La Liga has decided to change its logo and introduce a new colour, coral, to represent it, leaving behind the dark tones used until now.
Furthermore, La Liga has announced that matches will also be broadcast differently, with new camera angles and shots bringing users closer to the action. “We want to offer better football to society and a better society to our football,” said Javier Tebas.
Among the new features is the debut of the PUMA Orbita, the official LALIGA ball. It features a white base with contrasting fuchsia details.
With its innovative design, the new PUMA ball strikes the perfect balance between innovation and boldness, and is sure to be one of the stars of the 2023/24 LaLiga EA Sports season.
