Newmar and Isco hit the alarms a few months ago when we saw them training with FC Barcelona and Real Madrid with high cut boots. The two bigges references of Hypervenom in Spain showed what was a logic matter of evolution inside Nike: Flyknit and Dynamic Fit adapt to Hypervenom, the attack silo in Nike.
Hypervenom Phantom 2
Trying on the new Hypervenom for the first time we have been very surprised because although it is very elastic, is has nothing to do with the Magista Obra and Mercurial Superfly. In the Hypervenom Phantom 2 the Flyknit material is not as exposed as in the other two and we only see it in the Dynamic Fit collar and the tongue area.
Hypervenom Phantom 2 - Dynamic Fit
The upper in this new model features an evolution of the NikeSkin technology, this time thinner and more flexible so you get a complete new fit sensation and touch with the ball. Since it's place over the Flyknit material we get a thicker and more armed upper.
Hypervenom Phantom 2 - NikeSkin
So we have interior Flyknit and exterior NikeSkin, but there's a third element that helps this boot to provide you a great weapon for your dribbles: The Flyware. A technology that was a big success the past year and thats why Nike decides to implement it on the Hypervenom Phantom 2. Technology inspired in the material that hold the bridges in the USA.
Hypervenom Phantom 2 - Flyware
The outsole is the conservative element on this new boot. It seems like there are no modification in the outsole that was one of the big surprises we had with the first generation. Here we find a combination of conical studs and bladed studs placed over a plate which forks into two longitudinal platforms in order to offer an independent stability in all aggressive actions.
Hypervenom Phantom 2 - Outsole
The fans of the current Hypervenom don't have to jump to the Flyknit material if they don't want to becase Nike respects the classic players a gives us a second top en model option, the Hypervenom Phinish, a boot with the same characteristics than the Phantom but with no Flyknit.
Hypervenom Phinish
The main characteristics of the elite model are maintained in this top end model, just like with the Magista Opus and Mercurial Vapor, wich is the favorite option of tons of Nike professional footballers.
Hypervenom Phinish - NikeSkin
The outsole in the Hypervenom Phinish is the exacte same outsole we get in the Phantom model. Characteristics: combination of conical studs and bladed studs placed over a plate which forks into two longitudinal platforms of nylon and pebax.
Hypervenom Phinish - Suela
But the biggest surprise of the new generation is the new Hypervenom Phatal. The first time we have a boot that is not a top end model featuring the Dynamic Fit collar.
Hypervenom Phatal
The material is a cotton fyber, it's not made with Flyknit, so it won't give you the same feelings as the compresive effect with the other material. But still it's pretty close to the Phantom model. And the most important thing, a PVP of 170 €. A big price difference knowing that till today we couldnt have a boot with the collar for less than 270€.
Hypervenom Phatal - Dynamic Fit
The external microfyber is not as flexible as the NikeSkin material but stil it imitates it well and the touch with the ball is going to be very good. Plus, since it's stiffer it will be more stable and it wont need the internal Flyware.
