adidas presents the new Euro 2024 ball ‘Fusballliebe’

The German brand has brought us a new ball for the 2024 European Championships, celebrating all things football. Let's take a closer look at it.

One of the classic mottos in the world of football is that when something works, don't touch it, and it seems that adidas has thought so when designing their new ball, as they have kept the base of the Al Rhila ball that gave such a good result in the last World Cup and they have added small details to give us another simply brutal ball.

Aesthetically we have a design that aims to represent ‘the love of football’ and hence the name Fusballliebe which means exactly that. On a white base we have a representation of colours that seeks to represent the energy and vitality that is transmitted in the beautiful game, while at the same time we have representations of the stadiums of the host cities of the tournament.

If we move on to the technical level on the base of the Al Rhila we have two important novelties, the first is that maintaining the same distribution of 20 thermo-sealed panels, we have a microtexture on them called PrecisionShell that will help a nobler flight and a faster game and pass.

But on the inside we also have news, this ball is very technological, as it incorporates a sensor that will send information in real time of everything that is happening at the moment of the game. This will help a lot to gather information of the match, at the same time that it will help all the semi-automatic offside systems and the decisions of the referees.

The rest of the internal materials feature two components, a bladder containing renewable natural rubber and the casing made from a double patch PES fabric that gives the bladder its strength and shape so that the sphericity of the ball is maintained at all times.

In conclusion, we have a new ball that is really tremendous, good flight, fast touch and with that extra that gives us all the technology it houses inside. I can't wait to see it rolling at Euro 2024.
