New adidas X Speedlow boots exclusive to Leo Messi

Leo Messi's importance to adidas is immeasurable. The Argentine has conquered the world of football over the last decade, winning every individual and team trophy there is to win and astonishing all fans of the beautiful game. Today, the German brand brings us another exclusive edition for the PSG player, taking inspiration from the F50 adizero boots that Messi wore during the 14/15 season at FC Barcelona. 

Once again, we are witnessing an aesthetic change, a new design for the adidas X Speedflow.1 football boots that Messi has been wearing since last summer, when the brand decided to discontinue the Nemeziz silo. But as we said before, this is not just another design. These boots, born under the name “My Story”, pay tribute to just that, to a golden era in the Argentine's history when he amazed the whole world with his exclusive adidas F50 adizero boots, delighting Barça fans.

An orange colour close to yellow will fill the new adidas X Speedflow boots, exclusive to Leo Messi, with light and energy. Accompanying this colour is black, which goes well with everything and makes the main shade even more eye-catching.

This is, unsurprisingly, the high-end lace-up model from the German brand's speed range, as it is well known that the Rosario-born footballer prefers lace-up football boots and the feeling of being able to adjust them to his foot in a personalised way, finding the exact point of tension. Speaking of these laces, adidas has added an orange detail to the outside of them which, without affecting the functionality of these football boots, adds a positive aesthetic touch. 

Continuing with the details, we can see how, on the inside and outside of these adidas football boots, we can make out certain words written in black that disappear under the three stripes. This is another similarity with the aforementioned 2014 adidas F50 boots, which served as inspiration for this design and on which we could also read words such as “HUMILITY, STYLE, BALL, FAMILY” and many more that relate to the life and personality of the Argentine footballer.

Moving on to the front centre of these adidas X Speedflow football boots worn by Leo Messi, we see how the brand has decided to include something that cannot be missing from exclusive football boots, namely the player's logo. Moving to the rear, we find the same logo again, although this time it is much more striking thanks to the black background on which it is printed, a shade that extends across the entire upper and also colours the outer heel counter, helping to create contrasts that make the orange stand out.
