The King is back, and we have an outstanding special edition from Puma. This new release comes courtesy of Art of Football, a UK-based team of designers who have given the new Puma King model an aesthetic and material twist.

The design captures the essence of the original model, but instead of leather it features synthetic material with stitching and a more robust construction for the new K-Better, which is fantastic.

This stitching brings back the rough, rugged and very special King touch in a brutal package — the boot is full of details. The classic Puma King colours are present, as is the Puma logo and the Art of Football logo.

In addition, the years vital to the silo are silk-screen printed in gold, and drawings of the figures who wore the Puma King can be found on both insoles, along with the years in which they achieved unique and unparalleled milestones in the world of football. We see figures such as Maradona, Pelé and Cruyff, because, as the motto of these boots says, 'Some kings are not born, they are made'.

The outsole remains unchanged and is the same as that of the current model. However, the design and modification of the materials, as well as the aesthetic details, make this boot a unique piece for collectors and true fans of the Puma King. We will see what the next steps are for this range, but I think that, more than ever, 'The King is Back'.
