This year, adidas had a challenge in Italy, to bring a new kit for Juventus. the design would have to keep the traditional aesthetics from the 2014 modle since, with this modle, they won the Scudetto and la Copa as well has reaching the Champions League final.
So loyal to the traditions, the home kit maintains the iconic club colors they started using in 1903. Want to know why those colors? Keep reading.
The original colors of La Vecchia Signora were pink for the jersey and white for the shorts until 1903 when a mistake in the production made the Italian club receive a different kit from an Enlgish team, the Notts Country. This new kit was was actually very well received by the fans and the club and after an entire season they decided to keep using that design and make it the new colors of the club because that season they won La Copa Ministerio for the forth time.
And that's the reason why black and white are the clubs official colors. Plus, the new jersey features an extra black hem at the bottom with a nice detail, a 'J' that stands for the inital of the club and some more details that pay tribute to the stadium.
The away kit combines a classic design with some innovation. From 1897, year of the foundation, untill 1903, year when they changed the colors of the club, Juventus was wearing a pink jersey with white shorts that are now part of the history of this club.
o the addias designers have decided to bring back the original pink color which was the original club's kit. We also find details in white pink and black which all together make for a classic-modern look.
