A historical season were some player like Molina, Pantic, Kiko or Simeone would shine and stand out in front of the world by wining La Liga and La Copa with beautifull games and being agressive at the same time. 20 year latter, the current Atlético de Madrid with 'Cholo' Simeone has recoverd that same style. Results are back... and Nike has decide to pay tribute to that season with a kit that is inspired in the heroes of 96/97.

The new home kit has been presented with 5 classic red stripes placed over the white base. With the same aesthetics from 20 years ago, every single stripe features a smaller stripe in each side.

The shorts and socks are different to the pat kit and we won't find the big white details. The shorts are completely blue and with a red stripe. The socks are completey red with the Nike branding and the Atlético name in white.

'Cholo' Simeone was one of the importante player 20 years ago when the won both titles. Now he keeps doing his work at Atrleco de Madrid but in the bench. He is the big responsible of the big thing Atleti has achieved in the past 3 seasons providing the team with the courage that made him champion in 1995/96.
