adidas has an etenal american enemy which we all knoe, who destroyed the market on 2014 creating a new style for boots with a high cur design for the past World Cup.  We all though adidas would be "rabid" and thinking on how to become a reference. And that is the project they have planed for this 2015 year. First step, the Gloro a few weeks ago. And today the second step with the adizero F50, the lightest boot of all time.

To reduce the 99g wall was something we knew could happen, but not that soon. Adidas announced this project more than a year ago and Soloporteros announced it a year ago when the adizero CrazyLight was released.

This time it's no longer a prototype. This time it's real. They have created a boot that is lighter than 100 g. To be more specific, the model we have tested weighs in only 95 g. in a size 42.5 (8.5 uk). The key to achieve this incredible weight loss is in the materials implemented on it. Antonio Zea said that they tested more than 60 different materials in the past two years to end up with this combination of PU and Polyester for the upper.

As a result we get this superlight translucent material. I know you can't appreciate it in this blog but in hand the sensation you get makes it hard to realize that you are actually holding a football boot. You can appreciate that adidas hasn't launched a light weight boot without testing it in the football and that is why we find some internal reinforcements in the areas that will touch the ball.

Obviously this is not an armed boot. It won't mold two the shape of out foot. Adidas doesn't want to confuse us, the message is pretty clear: to create a boot that will allow you to make the most of your speed without interfering. How does it improve your performance? Obviously in the sprints, but football player do not only run in on direction that's why this new adizero F50 boot offers traction on all movements. And the key is the outsole with the SpeedStud pattern where the studs are oriented to give you the best traction in all movements.

When will I be able to get it? Soloporteros is one of a few retailers in the world that will have come pairs. From right now it's available in our website on pre-order to be shipped in April the 15th. Mean while you have a full video review in our youtube channel.

Saludos!
