As it occurs on every year when there are big sporting events, most brands make an additional effort to innovate, since everyt product that is launched will have a higher impact if the company is able to take advantage of all the excitement created around such a big sporting event. Probably the item that builds up more excitement to a football fan is seeing the new uniform that his or her National Team will be wearing.
Taking advantage of this circumstances Nike has launched (all at the same time) the uniforms that will be worn by players at during the 2016 Euro Cup in France, and 2016 Copa America in the USA. Here we introduce to you the Nike jerseys for this 2016 summer.
2016 EURO CUP
FRANCE. Home and away kits.
The host for this Euro Cup will wear a blue shirt as the 1st kit, not taking any risks and a white jersey with blue and red sleeves as the 2nd kit which will probably be the most popular one among the French fans. Will we have a chance to see Karim Benzema wearing these?
CROATIA. Home and away kits.
Croatia stays loyal to its checkered shirt but with a more innovative touch thanks to its curved lines instead of the straight ones. We do not know if Luka Modric and the Croatian fans will like it but we sure love it.
PORTUGAL. Home and away kits
The Portugese led by Cristiano Ronaldo, also bet on the same lines as before for the 1st kit, but choose to change on the 2nd one with a turquoise green colour.
ENGLAND. Home and away kits.
England has been the newest signing by the American brand among these ones, just 3 years ago, but that has not been an impediment for Nike to capture the classic essence on both kits, with some pretty elegant shirts. Wayne Rooney will be in charge to lead his country during the competition.
POLAND. Home and away kits.
The Polish National Team, with Robert Lewandowski as its star player, will try achieve a good performance this summer with two kits that may seem simple but are equipped with a swirl´s shadow they will use to surprise everyone.
TURKEY. Home and away kits.
Arda Turan and his teammates will be the cheeky ones when it comes to the uniforms. Two designs highlighted by an “allover” diamond-pattern that makes the 2nd kit one of the most daring ones of the summer, which will probably be worn by many n public as a regular t-shirt.
2016 COPA AMERICA
BRAZIL.Home and away kits.
This year´s Copa America reaches the 100 years milestone, that is why Nike introduces Brazil with two classic and simple designs, which will be used by the “Canarinha” with Neymar Jr as a leader, to try to forget the fiasco from the last World Cup.
CHILE Home and away kits.
The Chileans will make their Nike debut in the USA to defend their current champion status from the the last 2015 edition. Thanks to one of the best goalkeepers of the moment Claudio Bravo, and a very strong offense with Alexis Sanchez and Arturo Vidal.
These uniforms have been presented in New York during the Nike Summit event, and all of them incorporate the innovative Nike AEROSWIFT technology.
