Puma evoSPEED Graphic

This time Mario Balotilli is no responsible for Puma's latest crazyness. We tend to see the dragon as an evil mythological animal. But in Oriental lands it's nothing like that. Do you want to know more about this new boot? don't miss out this review.

With all the latest launches we've seen from all the different sports brands it's hard to create creative designs for the football boots that is not just a simple new colorway, but to create something with a story behind it. And that's what Puma wanted to do in April when they have surprised us with a new Graphic decoration for the evoSPEED model.

The main characteristic of this decoration is the Japanese dragon that interacts with the Puma logo. In Spain we tend to see the dragon as an evil mythological animal. But that idea has nothing to do with how they see the dragon in Japan.

The animal symbols are very cummon in Asian cultures, specially in the Japanese culture. There the dragon is a symbol of power, wisdom, speed and agility. Which player could use this reinforcement to improve his skills?

But the dragon isn't just a simple decoration. If we take a claser look to the upper we can see that the syntetic upper, which usually features a flat surface, now has a scale texture like the dragons skin. This element might seem just for decoration but it actually helps for a better touch with the ball.

The plate of the outsole is another important element in this evoSPEED, although it's not too light, it is made to provide a good support to the players on high speed actions.

There are two technologies that stand out in this outsole. the Duoflex bending lines in the forefoot area that allows for a better flex and the SpeedTrack bar in the mid foot area that will prevent the boot from twisting to try to avoid injuries.
