As well as football boots and goalkeeper gloves, Nike has also unveiled a new football in recent days that has taken everyone by surprise. This new release from the American brand was unveiled just a few days ago and has been very well received, as a great many fans have taken a liking to it at first glance. However, first impressions aren’t everything, which is why today we’re going to take a detailed look at everything we need to know about this new Nike product.
Let’s start by talking about the ball’s design – the first thing that catches the eye when you see it. Nike has opted for a fairly simple design from a visual perspective. It is a clean, elegant and minimalist ball. As you can see, it has a virtually white base, with some black details such as the classic Nike logo and other graphic elements, including the numbers 20 and 21, which refer to the season in which this ball will be used.
Let’s now turn to the technology, one of the most important aspects of this new ball. In fact, it could well be one of the most technologically innovative footballs of recent years. Let’s start with its name: Nike Flight. With this new generation, the American brand aims to improve the ball’s behaviour in flight – that is, once the player has struck it. It’s not the first time we’ve seen a ball take unpredictable or unusual trajectories, and that is precisely where Nike has sought to take things a step further. Thanks to AerowSculpt technology – consisting of a series of grooves and raised patterns distributed across the ball’s surface – a much more stable and precise flight is achieved. Furthermore, just as with Nike’s football boots, this ball incorporates ACC (All Conditions Control) technology, which guarantees excellent grip and control in all weather conditions.
