From tomorrow, we’ll see a new ball on the pitch, different from the one we’ve seen so far – a special, unique and exclusive ball. The adidas ball we have seen so far is evolving, changing its skin to become something new. All this to rise to the occasion of three major matches: the two semi-finals and, of course, the grand final. That’s right, from tomorrow, in that Italy v Spain match that will decide the first finalist, we will have the chance to see the new “Uniforia Finale Pro” ball rolling across the Wembley pitch.
The truth is that it hasn’t changed much from the ball we’ve seen up to the quarter-finals, but adidas has decided to add a few more details. The ball is inspired by Wembley and London, the stadium and city where the remaining three matches of this tournament will be played. As you can see, grey details have been incorporated to represent these two places, which for many represent the heart of football. In addition, there are also several white accents, creating a contrast that will stand out on the pitch.
Beyond all this, adidas wants to send a message with this new ball. What the brand with the three stripes is conveying to us is its intention to overcome all barriers, surmount current difficulties and bring everyone together under one roof: that of the art of football, the passion this sport inspires and the emotions it evokes.
