We are going to review the new Puma Future football boots in depth. From the upper to the outsole, there are quite a few interesting changes taking place, and we are going to check all the details.

The first thing we have to comment on is the change in the upper, which is now made of three-four different materials. First we have the already mythical Evoknit giving shape to the tongue. On the inside, we have an inner shell with foam inserts that will help touches and transmit the sensations of the ball to each foot - a detail we personally haven't seen in the inside of a boot and that helps us feel more connected to the ball.

This inner shell - with that kind of foam instert lycra - is covered in a synthetic microfibre that is absolutely grippy thanks to its own rib-shaped weaving all over the upper. It provides that special and very aggressive touch from the Future silo.

Regarding the last, PWRTAPE stays in the centre of the boot to help improve that lockdown, but this comes directly with the new material (the two layers that we see in the upper) which is a bit stiffer and presents a bit less width than in past generations.

If we move on to the outsole, we have some changes that still keep the same essence. The distribution of the studs changes with laminated studs and a traction arch on the lateral side. The lugs are slightly longer than what we are used to, as well as a stiffness worthy of mention as this is a boot that gives us that extra traction when we go at maximum speed.

In conclusion, we have a new model with a much wider touch, much more elaborated and that offers us much more grip with the ball in general. A modification of the last gives us a slightly narrower one (which many players will appreciate) as well as a slightly more aggressive outsole. In my opinion it's a clear step forward and it's a boot that gives us a lot of good things despite being slightly different from what we had in the past generations. What are you waiting for to try it?
