The Puma family is growing, with Dani Carvajal, one of the best full-backs in football today, joining its ranks. Puma has been expanding its catalogue of players for many years, and this signing confirms beyond any doubt the quality of Puma football boots.
So, which boots has Carvajal chosen? Considering he previously used Nike Phantom, I think the question was whether to opt for a slightly speedier and lighter boot like many other outside players use — the Puma Ultra.
Or to choose a slightly heavier boot with good traction and a slightly heavier feel, the Puma Future Ultimate. I didn't see the Puma King for Carvajal because of the type of boots he has worn throughout his career.
Finally, after the signing was confirmed, he chose the Puma Future, a sublime boot with a very soft and smooth synthetic upper that is much improved on past generations. It also has an outsole with brutal traction and a longer length than the rest, giving it stability and traction in all directions.
Taking into account the Spanish player's style of play, it's a very logical choice, and we'll see what results it gives them as the Puma family grows.
