Mercurial Vapor Superfly Savage Beauty, Cristiano Ronaldo's boots

Nike keep making big efforts to achieve new inspiring designs for Ronaldo's boots. This time the reason of this new decoration is the lava of the volcano in Madeira where CR7 was born.

Eventhough Neymar is growing strong, Cristiano Ronaldo is still the flag ship player in Nike. The only player who receives several special models for himself. And after a long time using stock models, just the same as the rest of professional players, it's time to launch his first special model of the 2015-2016 season: The Mercurial Superfly CR7 Savage Beauty.

With each new special design for Cristiano Ronaldo, we ask to our selfs... Will they be able to surprise us again? Indeed they will. They got the inspiration on the island where Cristiano Ronaldo was born: Madeira. To use a footballers chieldhood is something that we often see, adidas did it with the Messi Rosar10. But what has this boot to do with Madeira?

Madeira is a volcanic island. It has been inactive for years but still a volcanic island. Ronaldo's performance is explosive and aggressive. We the Portuguese player takes of in a sprint it's similar to a volcanic eruption. So Nike has decided to use all these elements and create a boot that will feature a print that combines Ronaldo's beginnings with his performance on the pitch.

CR7's boots are always all about the detail. A boot made exclusively for a player to be distinguished from the rest. This time Nike, with excellent criteria (my personal opinion) has decided to reduce the size of the CR7 logo making it more suitable for the rest of players who might not be fans of the Portuguese man. But we will still find the logo in the back heel of the boot so it's smaller but it's back to its original location.

The rest tech specs are the same as other Mercurial Superfly boots: Flyknit upper that provides a compressive effect on the feet with a sock like sensation thanks also to the Dynamic Fit collar

El resto de tecnologías las conocemos de pasadas Mercurial Superfly: tejido Flyknit para conseguir un efecto compresivo sobre el pie y terminación con Dynamic Fit para que el ajuste de la bota al pie no se limite al pie, también a la pierna.

Since the touch we get with Flyknit is not that good what Nike does is add a layer to the upper, in this case the NikeSkin finish. The external skin also comes with the ACC (All Conditions Control) technology so you don't loose control in wet conditions.

When will we see them? For sure in El Clasico against FC Barcelona Ronaldo will be wearing his new Mercurial Superfly CR7 Savage Beauty. But we actually think that he will be wearing them for the first time in the game Real Madrid vs París Saint Germain November the 3rd.
