The American brand has unveiled the new away kit for Inter Milan, clearly inspired by its main sponsor, Pirelli. The black colour covers the entire jersey and contrasts perfectly with the sponsor’s colours.
The race for glory has begun
Inter Milan’s third kit features the ‘Pirelli’ design, which runs across the entire jersey – not only in the brand’s own colours, black and yellow, but also in the brand’s logo, which, as well as being more prominent than ever, retains its original colours and is not ‘adapted’ as it is on Inter Milan’s other jerseys.
The design details continue with a watermark across the front and back that blends the Inter crest with the club’s initials. The look is groundbreaking and also incorporates a 90s aesthetic by reviving the old Nike crest featuring the initials and the Swoosh, all combined with a very minimalist round neckline typical of the design and style of today’s jerseys.
The crest, as well as the detailing on the cuffs and collar, are in yellow, completing the ‘Pirelli’ look that runs throughout the jersey. From a technical perspective, the jersey once again features Nike’s Vaporknit technology, which is designed to wick away sweat effectively and keep us dry during the most demanding moments. The kit is complemented by a pair of football shorts, also in black, with yellow detailing.
The race for glory has begun, and Inter Milan, boasting one of the most dangerous attacking lines in Europe, look set to strike fear into their rivals once again, just as they did in their heyday. The Monza F1 Grand Prix in Italy served as the perfect backdrop to unveil this spectacular kit, on which ‘Pirelli’ features more prominently than ever, and we shall see whether, in 2019, it restores Inter Milan to the place it deserves amongst the elite of Serie A.
