Nike Phantom GT II football boots
The truth is that when the new Nike Phantom GT II was launched, expectations weren’t particularly high, as it was just a slight revamp of a model that already worked well – they’d simply tweaked the GT version with the aim of improving an already very solid boot. However, with this new colourway, we finally have a really cool look for the Phantom, which we hope to see on the pitches very soon.
The inspiration behind this new colourway is clear: it comes from ultraviolet rays, which come in different colours and are perfectly captured in the Phantom GT. The blue base is accented with shades of orange and violet, resulting in a simply fantastic look for this boot.
From a technical standpoint, the boot remains unchanged, featuring a Flyknit upper that guarantees exceptional comfort from the very first time you put it on, as the material is so soft that it barely needs any time to break in and mould to your foot. The GT, or Generative Texture, enhances the feel of the ball and provides extra grip, without being overly aggressive, but rather smooth and clean.
The outsole of these Phantoms is very aggressive, featuring laminated studs and a lateral flex zone that’s certainly responsive – something that will help us when sprinting at top speed and, above all, when changing direction. A real success for Nike.
And here are the new Nike Phantom GT 2 UV, the best colourway for this boot; it’s finally won us over visually, too, as it had already won us over in terms of performance from day one. A very solid football boot that will gradually win you over, and now with a fantastic look. What more could you ask for?
