The boot that has been dazzling the world since 2013 is back, which is great news. To put this in context, this boot was revolutionary as it replaced the all-powerful Nike Total 90 — a big responsibility, of course. However, the boot's construction, lightness and the comfort of the NikeSkin upper made it a real success.
During that time, the boot had many followers, with many players even switching Nike silos to wear the Hypervenom. Its lightweight, reactive framework and maximum comfort, not to mention the delightful touch it gives you with the ball, made the Hypervenom the boot we still see on some players' feet today when they wear retro models.
Well, in 2025 Nike decided to bring them back with a special edition that reproduces the colours and framework of the first generation in detail. The only difference is that it uses the outsole of the third generation of Hypervenom, which is another pretty good generation, to be honest. This gives the shoe even more reactivity and reinforcement.
The upper is made of Nikeskin, a mesh with a synthetic coating that effectively makes the boot waterproof thanks to Nike's ACC technology. The upper is ultra-comfortable and adapts to the foot at an incredible speed. It has dimples that resemble a golf ball. It's a real winner.
The outsole of version three combines triad and traction lugs to provide exceptional reactivity.
There's not much more we can say about this football boot, which is a real head-turner. This special edition will be available from Futbolemotion from Thursday 29 May. All we can do is wait for the next Nike sensation.
