Nike football boots made in Montebelluna have always been synonymous with exclusivity and distinction. Being a Nike footballer with boots modified in Montebelluna means being a step above the rest, and very few professionals enjoy this privilege.
But what are the differences between normal inline boots and those manufactured in Montebelluna? Simple: all Nike football boots that leave this factory are handmade, and the footballer for whom they are intended can request any modifications they want. That is why so few are lucky enough to receive boots manufactured there.
Today, Nike launched the Nike Tiempo Made in Italy football boots, a super-limited production of the American brand's leather silo, with all pairs manufactured in Montebelluna. Just by looking at the leather, we realise that this is not just another launch, as the material used is called ‘Alegría’ leather, a natural compound that has been used by Nike on very few occasions for the brand's top footballers, and which is now available to the public thanks to this launch.
The new Nike Tiempo Made in Italy football boots are packed with details. The first of these can be found at the end of the swoosh, where there is a small leather rectangle featuring the Tiempo logo. Above it is the flag of Italy, the country where Montebelluna is located and which gives its name to this limited edition.
Moving on to the upper, we see a series of blue stitching on the natural leather that will prevent the boot from stretching excessively when worn, which is essential when it comes to footwear made from such high-quality leather. For the central area, Nike has decided to keep the Flyknit found in the Tiempo in-line model and dye it white, which will add brightness to these Nike Tiempo Made in Italy football boots.
We travel to the heel of these Nike Tiempo boots to find one of the most important details: the Montebelluna factory logo. This distinctive mark confirms that 100% of the production of these boots has been carried out in the brand's most exclusive factory, and more than just a decorative component, it is a seal of distinction. Inside it, we can see the number 1996, the year in which modified boots began to be manufactured in Montebelluna, as well as MB, the Italian flag and, of course, the swoosh.
Finally, we move on to the sole, where we find the perfect blend of functionality and aesthetics. In terms of aesthetics, there is little to say: a chrome plate that continues the philosophy of distinction and exclusivity that this edition of Tiempo exudes. In terms of functionality, the stud distribution chosen is not that of the Nike Tiempo 9football boots, but rather that of the 7, a decision made by the brand to demonstrate that this is not a collector's item, but rather that every detail has been studied in order to create a boot that is both aesthetic and functional.
This is the latest limited edition of Nike Tiempo football boots. If you've been lucky enough to get your hands on a pair, you'll realise that they take the American brand's leather range to the next level.
