Serie A 21/22 football

Serie A is starting to build up momentum, and you can already feel the excitement of what promises to be a great season. The transfer window is entering its busiest phase, and Nike has unveiled the new ball for the coming season. In today’s post, we’ll be talking about just that – the new Serie A ball. Let’s get started!

A few days ago, Nike unveiled the new Serie A match ball. A new colourway that will be with us throughout the season. As you may know, around a year ago Nike launched a truly revolutionary ball, designed down to the very last detail. A ball that received very positive reviews, which is why Serie A, for yet another year, has placed its full trust in the American brand, giving it the opportunity to work on the ball for the 21/22 season.

In terms of functionality, nothing has changed from last year, but let’s take a quick look at the technologies behind the Nike Flight. After seven years of development and hard work, the Swoosh brand created the first ball with just four panels, which, when stitched together, form a spherical shape. It was a risky move on Nike’s part, but one that has ultimately paid off. Furthermore, thanks to grooves on the outermost layer, in-flight stability is increased by 30%. This technology is called Aerowsculpt and is the real reason why Nike took so long to launch a product of this type. Finally, we have ACC technology, a Nike classic, which offers the best grip in all weather and atmospheric conditions.

But what has actually changed compared to the 20/21 season? Only the look – this year’s ball design is inspired by the new Serie A logo. It features details in various shades of blue and a few touches of red. Naturally, the Italian league’s logo is there, alongside the Nike logo.
