With the arrival of the cold weather, Puma has seized the opportunity to launch an innovative collection of football boots designed to withstand the most extreme weather conditions. Known as the Winterized Pack, this new collection features a significant technological innovation: both the ONE and FUTURE models incorporate Thinsulate™ thermal insulation technology.
Puma Winterized Pack
We believe that this special edition from Puma will not be worn by any of its sponsored footballers, as it is hitting the market just a few weeks after the launch of its latest collection, the Rush Pack. However, even if we don’t see these boots on professional pitches, we’re convinced they’ll make a big impact in the world of football. Whether you play football professionally or as an amateur, this collection is designed for those who won’t let the cold stop them from enjoying the game.
The Puma Winterized Pack collection features a colour scheme highlighted by an ice-green shade, which appears on both the Puma ONE 5.1 and the FUTURE 4.1. Both models feature white soles and laces made from a reflective material. These details enhance the boots’ visibility on the pitch, even during the months with fewer hours of daylight.
In terms of technology, this collection does not introduce any major innovations nor does it feature new generations of the brand’s two main product lines. Instead, its aim is very specific: to protect footballers during training sessions and matches where the cold is the main factor. Both the Puma ONE 5.1 and the FUTURE 4.1 incorporate Thinsulate™ thermal insulation technology, which helps retain body heat and keep feet warm during winter matches and training sessions.
Puma Future Winterized Pack
The real innovation of the Puma Future lies in its construction. These aren’t simply boots with a textile upper; they feature a structure incorporating NETFIT technology, a system that allows the footballer to choose from multiple lacing options to customise the fit. Another of its strengths is the combination of the heel counter and NETFIT technology, which provides excellent support and stability.
Puma One Winterized Pack
The second generation of the One features a new layout of natural leather across the entire upper. The stitching distributed across the upper helps prevent both the natural and synthetic leather from stretching excessively, promoting a more precise fit and greater stability. Another of its strengths – and, for me, one of the most important – is the sole: it incorporates an ultra-lightweight Pebax plate with a combination of conical and laminated studs, allowing the footballer to make the most of their speed.
And this is the latest collection from the German brand Puma. You might not see these boots in the world’s biggest football stadiums, but you might spot them on the pitch as an opponent’s footwear – or you might even end up wearing them yourself. After all, both styles are designed to help retain heat and keep your feet warm during winter training sessions and matches.
