We are in front of a change for the better, in all aspects. In this case we are going to analyse the model including the PU sole, and not the exclusive carbon sole which we will talk about in depth later.
This new model presents an upper with a knit and a synthetic coating mix that is much, much softer than the one we had in past generations. The Gripcontrol pro coating is also responsible for a very, very good touch on the ball.
The shape and sensations of the boot are excellent, taking a step forward in comfort and fit, as we can even appreciate how it adapts to the shape of the foot, a feature that we missed in the last generation.
The central knit together with the ‘yards’ that give shape to the upper give us that feeling of lightness and fit typical of a modern and advanced speed boot, perfect for today's football, characterised by hyper-fast pressing and recovery actions, but without forgetting about the dribbling that comes straight from the ‘street’.
And we finally get to the outsole, a casing that keeps the long triad studs that we already saw in the Ultra Carbon, with a more usual material that gives us a more balanced boot. We don't have that ultra extreme grip sensation that we had with the carbon fibre plate, but we do have a boot with good reactivity and with studs that really ‘scratch’ when we step on them.
All in all, we have a new boot that is a big improvement on what we had before. More comfort, better fit thanks to the new design of the upper, and a traction in a less aggressive plate which however meets the needs of the modern footballer.
