Nike Grip vs Trusox

We come back to compare the two most used football competition socks nowadays. Let's see what they can offer:

Both Nike and Trusox are specially concerned about the grip. Actually, that is their main quality, that is, they don't allow the foot to slip inside the boot and prevent potential sprains as well as unnecessary motions. Let's see their characteristics:

Nike Grip football socks

Precisely looking for that grip notion, Nike Grip was developed as a continuation of the previous Nike technical socks. This time, they manage to mix both the grip and comfort thanks to the different gussets on the most conflictive areas.

As it can be seen in the photos, the areas of the sole and the heel are the ones covered with an anti-slip material that favours traction and grip. Also, on the toecap and the instep, there are two padded areas in order to protect those zones most affected by kicks. On the heel, these gussets are divided in two zones: first, with an anti-slip section in grey to fix the heel inside the boot and then, an extra padding to prevent the classic injuries of that area.

Nowadays, Nike has included this technology in all its top-tier socks as can be seen in the official socks of the FC Barcelona, the PSG or the Atlético de Madrid.

Trusox football socks

The brand Trusox is a pioneer regarding this concept, being the first one to include it in competition socks. Thanks to their gel points all over the foot sole towards the ankle, Trusox football socks prevent the foot from sliping at all inside the boot.

Besides the different gel points that are an essential part of the socks, we can also find different elastic zones that help to feel more comfortable when wearing them.

Trusox are the chosen socks by different players such us Luis Suárez or Gareth Bale, using them either during trainings or matches.

To sum up, we can say that both options are fantastic. Perhaps Nike socks provide more support when kicking making them the perfect match for the Nike Grip insole, included in the latests football boots models of the American brand to strengthen that grip notion to the limit.

On the other hand, the grip of the Trusox plates is unquestionable, remarkably achieving that sensation of the boot being an extension of your foot.

Barbaros!!!!!
