All Puma football boots are strategically designed; this is nothing new amongst the brands we stock at Fútbol Emotion. What is certainly true, however, is that Puma listens to and considers all footballers. Not only does it cater for professional players who play on natural grass pitches in perfect condition, but the German brand also places great importance on boots for artificial turf, for amateur players, and even for those who don’t want to spend a fortune on football boots. There’s a wide variety of prices, ranges and top-quality studs, which we’ll try to summarise so that you can find your perfect boot from the Herzo-based brand.

PUMA FUTURE RANGE AND PRICES

Next, to give you some context, we’ll be looking at the latest Puma Future football boots – the ones featured in Puma’s Spark Pack.

Puma Future 5.1 (209,95€)

We’ll start by taking a look at the top-of-the-range boot – the football boots worn by Antoine Griezmann and even Luis Suárez, both of whom play for Fútbol Club Barcelona. The upper of the 2019 Future range brought about a minor revolution in a boot that was already fantastic; this time, the ‘Evoknit’ material isn’t just reserved for the collar, but is used to construct the entire upper. This material alters the weave and surface texture to provide much more grip than the previous version, as well as helping to wick away water more effectively when playing on wet surfaces or in the rain. The surface of the ‘Netfit’ technology has also been modified, focusing exclusively on the sides, allowing for the most personalised fit we’ve ever seen in a football boot.

As for the outsole, there are few changes with this ‘Rapidagility’ plate, which combines conical studs with laminated sections; thanks to the distribution of these studs, as well as the pattern of the plate itself, it can be used on firm ground or on state-of-the-art artificial turf. In short, an exceptional boot that puts Puma on a par with the best, and which once again brings Puma’s fantastic collar design to the whole boot.

Puma Future 5.2 (129,95€)

Moving down a notch, we find a mid-range model that offers all the feel of the Future range at a much more affordable price. The upper is made from a synthetic material featuring the same weave as the top-of-the-range model, giving it good grip and touch. It is finished with a fabric that is less treated and less stretchy than Evoknit, but flexible enough to still provide a secure fit across the entire area.

The outsole retains the same stud pattern as the top-of-the-range model, providing the same traction thanks to the tapered studs at the front. Once again, we have an FG/AG outsole that maintains both the pattern of the soleplate itself and the studs at different heights to adapt as effectively as possible to these playing surfaces. In conclusion, this is a mid-range collection that really hits the mark, bringing all the feel of the Future range down to the next level.

Puma Future 5.3 (59,95€)

We’re now firmly in the mid-range, with the third version of the Future, which this time has completely done away with Evoknit and features a shell made entirely of synthetic microfibre that is considerably stiffer and more durable than in previous versions. It’s worth noting that a certain ‘Netfit’ weave remains on the sides, as well as the weave on the inside, which provides grip with every touch of the ball.

The sole retains the same stud configuration as in previous ranges, although this time it is a much less responsive and flexible sole. As with the entire range, the sole is FG/AG, which means that even in the mid-range models we can have a single boot suitable for use on different types of playing surface.

Puma Future 5.4 (54,95€)

Finally, we come to the entry-level range, where we find a boot that is once again made from synthetic microfibre, but which retains details and features from Future’s top-of-the-range models. The weave of the upper is the same as in the high-end range, and there is also a fabric panel that wraps around the ankle area and envelops the foot, much like a much more expensive boot.

Obviously, we don’t have ‘Netfit’, but Puma does provide several lace eyelets to allow for a personalised fit, just as in the rest of its ranges. The sole retains the same stud configuration, even in this range, and is, of course, also FG/AG. We can conclude that this is one of the most comprehensive ranges we’ve seen recently. There’s a wide range of sole options across all the ranges, including FG/AG soles as well as MG and SG options – something you don’t see very often. Plenty of options to suit every budget, whilst maintaining the spirit and details of the Future range in each one. Which one will you choose?
