This year we have chosen a different format and we are going to make a top 3, with 3 models for each of the 3 steps of the podium. We have left out this year's special editions, to choose one of them in the much-loved ‘Bonus track’. Now that we have clarified the style, let's review the best models from each of the three.
Bronze medal
We start with the mid-range Puma Future.2, as it is practically identical to the high-end model and gives us a feel, fit and strike that is simply sensational for this price range.
Moreover, we choose the New Balance Tekela V4, a slip-on knit boot that fits perfectly and provides a sublime feel and fit. A great choice from NB.
Last, the boots and colours that caught our eye, the Nike Air Zoom Mercurial, which, with its revolutionary Air Zoom technology, has given us a fantastic boot.
Silver medal
We move up to the silver medal and once again we have the Nike Air Zoom Mercurial, but this time in the Vapor version, which stands out not only for its Air Zoom technology but also for its adaptability to wide feet.
Second, we have the Nike Tiempo Legend Montebelluna, which, with its joyful, undyed leather, is a truly incredible Tiempo, as it raises the bar for other leather boots.
We stay with New Balance to finish the top-2, as their other silo also makes it into the Top, and we're talking about none other than Sterling's New Balance Furon V7, with a special design for the British player. The design represents the upholstery of the bus that took him to training camp and recalls the early days of the Chelsea star.

Gold medal
And we come to the best boots of the year with the best boot of all, which in this case is an old favourite that is back at the top: the New Balance Tekela. A boot you could marry, as it is comfortable, pleasant, responsive and, once it has moulded to your foot, it is incredible.
We continue with the Puma Future Lazertouch edition, a comfortable, sturdy boot with the special touch of natural leather in this version. The white design with blue sole completes this fantastic boot.
Finally, we have perhaps the most successful boot of the year, none other than the adidas SpeedPortal.1, specially designed for Messi for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. A golden boot reminiscent of the old F50s, which, as you know, has taken him to the top of world football.
Remakes
Moving on to remakes, we have two that stand out, which have that special aura that we love. First, we have the adidas Predator Mania in the corporate colours of red, white and black, which brings back all the nostalgia of those years.
The other model is the gold adidas Predator Absolute, which was totally exclusive in its day, as only Zinedine Zidane wore it. A spectacular model that has finally given us the opportunity to try it out. It's absolutely amazing.
In conclusion, many sublime boots in a year full of new developments that only makes us look forward even more to the new releases in 2023.
