We are fearing the worst. It's likely that Xavi Hernández is playing his last minutes in La Liga. If its true, we will be losing one of the best Spanish footballers of all times, although his 34, he still has had brilliant moments in this season.
adidas is aware of this situation and has decided to design a commemorative Predator Instinct to tribute his 17 seasons defending the FC Barcelona jersey in La Liga. And during those 17 seasons his has worn adidas Predator on his feet.
Because Xavi is no just a "one club men". He's the same with his boots. Since his abandoned Umbro (the brand he used in the Barça youth teams) he spent a short period with the adidas Copa Mundial, and started to use the adidas Predator that would stick with his during his entire sports career. And that's the reason why adidas has presented a customized model to commemorate his 17 years as a professional football player. The colors chosen for this special edition are red, yellow and blue, which obviously is a wink to the three colors he has worn as a professional player in FC Bacelona and in Spain's National Football team.
We will also find some tribute details in like the number 6 you can see in the outsole which is the number he has worn with Barça (with Spain's National Football team he uses number 8) and his name in the heel.
Xavi has shown for the first time this model in the match against Atlético de Madrid, and only 17 pairs have been produced (one per each seaons he has played in La Liga). Non of these pairs will be in the market, they will be for Xavi and adidas and for their liabilities.
