A day with Luka Modrić

There are days when you wake up feeling more motivated than others. This can be due to many reasons, such as how much sleep you got, what day of the week it is, the weather, or the tasks you have to do that day. A few days ago, part of the Fútbol Emotion content team woke up with a feeling that was somewhere between excitement and nerves, all because of what was going to happen in a few hours, as for the first time we were going to have a visit from a Ballon d'Or winner on our YouTube channel.

We arrived in the capital mid-morning, where the rain forced us to put our indoor plan into action. It was bad luck that on the day we had the chance to make a YouTube video with Luka Modrić, the skies over Madrid decided to cry with emotion at such an important event, but it would have been even worse luck not to have the Croatian in front of our cameras, so whatever the situation, we were going to make the most of every minute. 

Once everything was set up and the tests were done, all that was left to do was wait, just like a groom waits at the altar for his future wife, knowing that sooner or later she will walk through the door, and praying that this time, sooner will win out over later. A few hours later, there he was, dressed in a black tracksuit and with that characteristic smile that makes you feel affection for him, no matter which team you support.

Introductions, explanations, costume changes, and everything was ready. The cameras were turned on, and our presenter, Ander Torres, proceeded to inform viewers of the Fútbol Emotion YouTube channel that none other than Luka Modrić would be taking part in football challenges. 

The recording proceeded with absolute normality, thanks to the humility and friendliness of the protagonist, who, although he does not usually do this type of thing, was completely in his element. A kick here, a joke there, now with the outside, and the minutes flew by, but that did not stop us from enjoying the moment. The football challenges with Luka Modrić came to an end and, as expected, the Croatian was crowned the winner, although Ander rose to the occasion by tying with Luka in two of the three tests. 

All that remained was to say goodbye to the video, take a few photos with the Nike Mercurial football boots, and thank the footballer for agreeing to spend some time with us, as everyone knows that Luka Modrić is not the type of player who does this kind of thing. So, at Fútbol Emotion, we feel really lucky that he decided to step in front of our cameras to spend some enjoyable, fun time with us, which helped us confirm something we already knew: Luka Modrić is a spectacular guy.
