Fútbol Emotion joins Tansley, a growing and expanding group of companies focused on fostering consumer ecosystems around hobbies and passions. The other companies that make up the group are Guaw, which specialises in pets; Milbby, which focuses on fine arts and crafts; Bookish, which is dedicated to literature; and BrandStory, which focuses on consumer products. With this move, the Meridia Capital investment fund is exiting the company it entered in May 2018.
The aim of this investment is to strengthen the company's strategic pillars, giving new impetus to Fútbol Emotion's expansion plans to accelerate sales in new markets and concepts, consolidating its customer ecosystem in southern Europe and Latin America, and with the ambition to lead this market through e-commerce, physical store sales, and service to football clubs, offering a 360º experience that covers all the needs of lovers of the beautiful game.
In this regard, the company is preparing to take a step forward, guided by a redefined business plan with a very clear main objective: to take the company to a new level of turnover with a very ambitious growth target for the coming years.
To achieve this, the main pillars of the plan will be:
· Strengthen partnerships with brands
· Amplify connections with consumers
· Focus on digital, evolving the platform and reinforcing the omnichannel strategy
· Execute the defined plan of attack for team sports, professionalising and offering more services to all types of sports clubs and groups
· Consolidate dominance in Iberia, accompanied by a new retail concept
· Accelerate international expansion, both in southern Europe, with a clear focus on Italy and France, and in Latin America, with a focus on Mexico
· Commit to hiring new talent, providing resources to the organisational structure to ensure the proper execution of the new business plan
This change also marks the end of Iván Abad's tenure as CEO of the company, after almost three years successfully managing and leading Fútbol Emotion. This departure will entail organisational changes at the Executive Committee level, and Carlos Sánchez Broto, current General Manager and partner of the company, will take on the role of CEO, working closely with Tansley to prepare the organisation to take it to the next level.
