We’re just a few days away from the start of Euro 2020 and we already know what the kits will look like for all the participating teams. Nike is the brand that will kit out the most teams during this tournament, with a total of nine, closely followed by Adidas with eight. Puma comes in third place, kitting out four teams. Also on the list are Hummel, Jako and Joma, each having produced one kit. And without further ado, let’s take a look at the Euro 2020 jerseys.
Germany
Let’s start with the Germany national team’s jersey. The German national team is always among the title contenders, and this time they’ll be aiming for glory in a white jersey featuring a total of 12 very fine black stripes arranged horizontally across the jersey. Also worth noting is the national flag on the sleeve, which adds a splash of colour to the design. Of course, as one would expect, the German brand Adidas has been responsible for producing this kit.
As a special mention, we’ll say a few words about Germany’s away kit for this Euro, as we simply cannot overlook what we consider to be one of the best kits we’ll see during the tournament. Understated, elegant and dignified, yet bold and innovative, given that dyeing the crest and logo black is, to say the least, a risky move – but the result is simply marvellous.
Moving on to the Austria national team jersey, here we find the first Puma jersey on this list. For this design, the German brand has taken its inspiration from the ‘tracht’, the traditional costume of the Austrian Alps, with red taking centre stage. The sleeves are entirely white, and the Austrian flag appears at the cuffs. Light red motifs stand out against the main red colour, adding a distinctive touch to this kit. A simple yet attractive jersey has been chosen by the Austrian national team for Euro 2020.
Belgium
Next up is the Belgium national team’s jersey. This time, adidas has got creative with the design for the Belgians. Red is once again the dominant colour, but there are a series of black and red lines, like brushstrokes of paint, crossing the jersey diagonally and vertically. It’s an eye-catching design, but that doesn’t detract from the fact that this Belgian national team’s jersey is a real beauty; judging by the names on the squad, they’re aiming for everything in this tournament.
There are few jerseys more iconic in the world of football than the Croatia national team’s kit. Nike has produced a design that, by its very nature, is difficult to alter significantly. A red-and-white checked jersey with two blue stripes down the sides is what the World Cup runners-up will be wearing at Euro 2020. We’ll see if, with this kit, they’re able to build on their recent successes and establish themselves as one of the best teams on the planet.
Denmark
For the first time since this post began, we’ve come across a jersey that wasn’t designed by Nike, Puma or adidas. The Danish team has chosen Hummel, a company based in Denmark, to kit them out for Euro 2020. The design is simple: a red jersey with white sleeves, featuring Hummel’s signature arrows running from the shoulder to the hem. It may not be the most attractive jersey in the world, but we’re actually delighted to see something a bit different when it comes to brands.
Scotland
We’re continuing our look at the jerseys, and now it’s Scotland’s turn. The German brand adidas is responsible for kitting out the Scots for Euro 2020, and has done so with a dark blue design featuring irregular horizontal stripes in a slightly darker shade, edged in black. On the sleeves there are two stripes, one red and one white, which go beautifully with the main colour of the Scottish jersey. Finally, the adidas three stripes appear in white on the shoulders. In short Scotland’s new jersey for Euro 2020 is one of the best-looking we’ll see in the tournament.
Slovakia
No more formalities. The Slovakian national team is set to turn heads, and not just for their football. This new Slovakia national team jersey for Euro 2020 is one of the most original and daring in the tournament, if not the most so. A two-tone blue design, which looks as though it’s the result of a paintbrush brawl, makes this jersey one of the favourites for many among all those we’ll see at Euro 2020. A great job by Nike, who surprise us every year with some of the jerseys they produce, and this time, without a doubt, they’ve done so with the Slovakia national team jersey.
Spain
La Roja is here, and they're going all out. That’s what the Spanish national team’s new Euro 2020 jersey seems to be saying. Adidas has brought us a design that’s quite different from what we’ve seen from the national team before. The new Spanish national team jersey appears to be divided into six sections, each in a slightly different shade of red. On the shoulders, we find the three Adidas stripes in yellow, matching the Adidas logo and the Spanish team crest. A jersey that we hope will bring back fond memories in a few years’ time thanks to the successes achieved in it.
It’s not as though we have to write about it just because it’s our national team’s away kit, but the work adidas has done on the Spanish national team’s away kit for Euro 2020 has been exquisite. A white jersey with a light grey background that, together, brings to mind a freshly carved piece of marble. On the shoulders are the three adidas stripes in grey, and the sleeves are finished with a trim featuring the Spanish flag. A beautiful away kit that adidas and the Spanish national football team have brought us for this Euro 2020.
Finland
We’re back with another look at Nike to show you the new Finland national team jersey for Euro 2020. How do you modernise something as traditional as a country’s flag? Well, it’s quite simple. Nike has decided to incorporate the Finnish flag into this new jersey but with a twist: a colour gradient that transitions from dark blue to a more electric shade, giving the jersey a contemporary and carefree look. Great work by Nike with this kit, which is already proving a favourite among football fans.
France
France are the clear favourites to win the tournament, and it’s no surprise given the exceptional individual quality of the players who will be wearing this new France national team jersey for Euro 2020. This time, Nike has brought us a design that’s very different from what we’re used to seeing for the French national team. A series of thin horizontal stripes in two shades of blue run the length and width of the jersey. In the centre, there is another line—also horizontal but wider—in red, which adds a distinctive touch to the jersey. This is the jersey in which the French national team hopes to lift the trophy this summer and thus confirm its international dominance of recent years.
We continue with Wales, who, in collaboration with adidas, have unveiled the new Wales national team jersey for Euro 2020. It features a simple design that is almost entirely red, with yellow detailing on the shoulders and sleeves. This is the kit Gareth Bale will wear as he looks to return to his best form at Euro 2020 following several somewhat disappointing seasons.
Hungary
Now it’s Hungary’s turn: once again in partnership with adidas, they’ve unveiled the Hungarian national team’s new kit for Euro 2020. Red is the sole feature of this kit, though not in a single shade. We can see that the jersey features a series of horizontal stripes in a slightly darker shade of red. As a detail, it has a white V-neck, with a small green trim that incorporates the three colours of the country’s flag.
England
This is, without a doubt, one of the standout kits of the tournament. Nike has taken us back in time with the new England kit for Euro 2020, and they couldn’t have done it with more style. A white jersey with a retro look that makes it one of the standout pieces of Euro 2020. It features a navy blue crew neck with a thin red line down the centre, and those same colours extend down the sides to form two stripes that split in the middle and shift slightly past one another. But without a doubt, what makes this jersey a work of art is the placement of the England national team crest in the centre of the jersey alongside the Nike swoosh. When things are done well, it’s worth saying so, and this piece of work by Nike is very, very well done.
And whilst we were just talking about retro vibes, Puma shows us that they too are capable of taking us on a journey through time with the new Italy national team jersey for Euro 2020. Naturally, the colour blue dominates this jersey, which features a pattern in darker shades inspired by the Renaissance, a period that left its mark on culture. Finally, a classic-style collar and a dark blue trim on the sleeves make this kit one of the most attractive we’ll see during Euro 2020.
North Macedonia
Moving on to North Macedonia, and back to Germany once again to talk about the designer of this jersey, but it’s not what you might think. The only debutant team in the tournament has decided to entrust Jako with the task of kitting them out for Euro 2020. The German brand has produced a red jersey with a background featuring the silhouette of a feline outlined in geometric shapes. The sleeves also feature very fine yellow lines, adding the second colour of the country’s flag to the jersey.
Netherlands
When it comes to the colour orange in football jerseys, we all think of the same thing: the Netherlands national team’s jersey. But watch out, because Nike, far from settling for a plain, boring orange jersey, has decided to get creative and add a geometric pattern in a darker shade which, combined with the black detailing, makes this kit one of the most eye-catching and original we’ll see during Euro 2020.
And since we’re talking about some of the best away kits at Euro 2020, we couldn’t leave out the Netherlands’ away jersey for the tournament. Something as simple as a black jersey, a classic collar and orange detailing can be transformed into a truly classy football jersey. Dutch fans are sure to be delighted with their national team’s new kits, and rightly so.
Poland
We’re still in partnership with Nike, and the American brand has unveiled the new Poland national team jersey for Euro 2020. Simple? Perhaps a little too much so. Attractive? No one can deny it. A basic white jersey with a single detail. The collar, which is classic by the way, is split into two colours: white and red – something we’ve rarely seen before. This is what the Polish national team brings to the table for Euro 2020.
Portugal
We’ve travelled to our neighbouring country to take a look at Portugal’s new national team jersey for Euro 2020. This time, Nike has ditched the frills and brought us a very simple jersey for the Portuguese. All red, with no distractions, a classic collar and the sole detail of black and green stripes on the sleeves – this is the kit that Cristiano Ronaldo, among others, will wear at Euro 2020.
We return to Puma to take a look at the Czech Republic’s new kit for Euro 2020. In this post, we’ve discussed jerseys that are simple because they’re single-coloured; however, Puma shows us that monochrome doesn’t have to be synonymous with simplicity. This jersey features a pattern of fine lines in a darker shade of red, paying homage to the linden tree, the Slavic tree that symbolises freedom. Furthermore, the dark blue collar and sleeve trim add a subtle touch that blends perfectly with the rest of the shirt.
Russia
We’re back with adidas to show you one of the best kits we’ll be featuring on the blog today: the new Russia national team jersey for Euro 2020. We don’t know where to start – whether with the white collar, the print on the jersey that references the country itself, or the white and blue stripes at the ends of the sleeves. The fact is that all these elements combined make this one of the most beautiful kits we’ll see at Euro 2020.
We’re sticking with Adidas, as the German brand has also been tasked with designing the new Sweden national team jersey for Euro 2020. We absolutely love this design. The shade of yellow Adidas has used for this kit is simply stunning, and paired with the dark blue on the collar, shoulders and sleeves, the end result can be summed up in one word: spectacular.
Switzerland
We’re moving on to the last Puma jersey we’ll be looking at today, and it’s none other than the new Switzerland national team jersey for Euro 2020. This design is a real triumph for Puma, as it’s no easy feat to combine two shades of red, and in this case the German brand has pulled it off perfectly. But whilst the jersey alone is attractive, when paired with the shorts and socks, our appreciation for this kit is multiplied. We’ll see how it looks on the pitch, but at first glance, Puma’s work with the Swiss national team has been top-notch.
Turkey
Let’s take a look at the penultimate kit on this list, which is none other than the Turkish national team’s new jersey for Euro 2020. There are jerseys that are boring because of their simplicity, but that’s not the case here. We’re not sure if it’s down to the character of the crest, the placement of the swoosh in the centre, or the stripe across the chest, but this kit is certainly one that will shine in its own right during the tournament. White and red together are almost always a winning combination, and this jersey certainly proves it.
And finally, we bring you the new Ukraine national team jersey for Euro 2020. We’re pleased to tell you that Spain will, in a way, be represented on the Ukrainian national football team, as the Spanish brand Joma will be responsible for kitting out the Ukrainians during Euro 2020. It’s a simple design in yellow with blue details, but one that has been the subject of controversy. In the centre of the jersey, surrounding the crest, is the outline of the map of Ukraine, but including the Crimean peninsula – a region annexed by Russia in 2014 and over which Ukraine claims sovereignty. This has provoked outrage among Russians, as they consider Crimea to be part of Russia, whilst it is internationally recognised as Ukrainian territory.
That concludes our round-up of the 24 Euro 2020 kits; we’ll see which one appears in the photo on the 11th of July, lifting the trophy.
Father's Day is coming up, and let's be honest: another tie isn't going to improve his style in the stands. If your dad is one of those who lives and breathes football 24 hours a day, the best gift is one that reflects his passion from the moment he wakes up until he arrives at the stadium.
Let your imagination run wild and give your club a completely unique kit. With over 300,000 possibilities, your team can be kitted out just the way it deserves thanks to Nike Kit Builder and Fútbol Emotion.
adidas is about to unveil the official ball for the 2026 World Cup in Canada, the United States and Mexico. Shall we take a look back at the balls used in previous World Cups?
