A few weeks ago we announced on our blog rumors concerning the end of the NIKE FC247 collection. That X in The MagistaX and the MercurialX refers to the Roman numbers, because there will be 5 players in each side of the court. These two models will be launched in the Street colorway "ready for the streets" and this is inspired in the players that the Nike design team met in a night street game. The upper features a nike black graphic with geometrical reflective lines.

The MercurialX and the MagistaX arrive to the futsal courts to replace the successful lines: Gato, Elastico and Bomba.

Max Blau, Nike football footwear, said that "NikefootballX has brought best technology from the football boots to the futsal world", "We talk with the players, playing in street conditions all around the world. They want to have the best of the Magistas and the Mercurials but adapted to their specific conditions".

"Footballs popularity has nothing to do with this size of the court", "everyday we see more and more young payers that start playing in smaller courts to figure out their own style".

  • MERCURIALX LINE

Mercurial, is one of the most classic silos of the football line, it arrives to the futsal world to replace the Elastico line which was one of the iconic models from Nike with its low profile design that gave the best ball touch sensations.

Proximo, replaces the superfly, finale and Pro are the 3 names we will find for the different range of models. We will also find two versions: the Classic and the new Street.

NIKE MercurialX Proximo IC

NIKE's revolution for the Summer 2015 campaign has had as a consequence that the Elastico Superfly IC is now going to be called MercurialX Proximo IC, maintaining the design and adding a couple of modifications.

And in the NIKE MercurialX Proximo Street IC model, we will find some reflective lines that will stand out over the classic color of the upper.

In the upper we will find the same technology we got in the Elastico Superfly IC: it features a Flyknit material that allows to add the Dynamic Fit Collar to create a sock like sensations. The ACC (All Conditions Control) technology with the NikeSkin finish will provide a great touch with the ball. The Brio cables will add support to the entire structure for more stability.

One of the updates we will find when comparing to the Elastico Superfly is the synthetic reinforcement texture we get in the toe box area and the inner foot that will add protection for more durability.

The MercurialX Proximo IC midsole is made with the Phylon material to provide a good cushioning for a low cut design shoe.

Here we will find the rubber recycled Nike Grind technology in the areas that suffer the most for better durability, and the hexagonal design pattern will provide good traction and stability.

NIKE MercurialX Finale IC

NIKE Mercurial Finale IC is the new denomination for the Elastico Finale III, which already suffered a revolution with a generation change.

The NikeSkin technology stands out in this shoe, it's a polyurethane layer with a soft and flexible 3D texture. The NIKE Mercurial Finale IC is made in a one-piece upper for the best possible fitting. We will also find the neoprene as part of this design and the Ortholite material, exclusive from NIKE, that will give us the best cushioning but maintaining the lightness of the shoe.

NIKE MercurialX Pro IC

NIKE MercurialX Pro IC is the new name for the past Elastico Pro III which already suffered a generation change.

  • MAGISTAX LINE

The name Magista is born from the combination of two words: Mago and Regista (wizard and director in Italian). This line is an evolution of what the Gato line started, creating a futsal shoe that will give you the best balance between lightness and touch thanks to the materials we find in the upper and in the outsole.

If with the past Gato we had 3 differend range models (Lunar Gato, Gato y Davinho), for this SU'15 collection, at the moment, nike has only created one range, the top end model, NIKE MagistaX Proximo IC, that will come in two versions: the Classic and the Street.

NIKE MagistaX Proximo Street IC present an spectacular look with the best sensations we can find in a futsal shoe.

In the upper we will find the Flyknit technology for the entire shoe, which is a one-piece upper and thanks to its elasticity it will give us a perfect fitting. The ACC and the NikeSkin technology will improve the good sensations when it comes to ball contact. Plus, the Street version adds a thin leather layer that will provide an extra comfort feeling.

One of the most diferencial aspects of the NIKE MagistaX Proximo IC is the Dynamic Fit Collar, which is also made out of Flyknit material and will cover your ankle giving a sock like sensation.

It also features a suede reinforcement in the toe box area for better durability.

In the midsole they maintain the Lunarlon exclusive material from NIKE which was already used with the Lunar Gato II, and which gives a perfect cushioning against impacts in futsal surfaces.

The las point is going to be the outsole where we will find a big change. NIKE has changed the design for the Magista line when comparing to the Elastico line, and this time we get an hexagonal pattern that will provide perfect traction and stability. Just as all the NikeFootballX, we get the recycled Nike Grind outsole for a better durability.
