It is often difficult to come up with something new that still captures the spirit of a club, particularly when it comes to historic clubs like Milan. However, our colleagues at Puma have taken a risk this time, and I believe they have created a design that stays true to Milan's identity while offering something new and modern for their home kit.
The idea behind this design is to unite Milan with the city itself. To achieve this, the designers have chosen a pattern featuring the letter 'M' running across the entire shirt to represent the city's vibrant energy.
This pattern creates texture by overlapping the classic vertical stripes of the Milan shirt. This time, there are only two lines, which further emphasise the M that is the shirt's main feature.
The collar and sleeves feature black detailing, and the pattern extends to the sides and back, reinforcing the groundbreaking design of this year's collection.
As always, the main feature of the shirt fabric is Ultraweave technology, a groundbreaking innovation that Puma has been using for several years now. It makes the shirt highly breathable and lightweight, allowing players to move more freely.
Therefore, we have created a new design that captures the essence of the Rossoneri while incorporating an innovative touch, thanks to the M detail that strengthens the club's connection with the city.
