The best jerseys of the 2020-21 season

There’s one day to go until Serie A resumes; the Premier League, La Liga and Ligue 1 are already back in action, which means we’ll finally have busy weekends ahead, and we’ll also get to see the new kits for our favourite teams – something we’ve been waiting for for so long.

In today’s post, we’re going to take a look at what we consider to be the top 5 jerseys of the 2020–21 season. We’ll be discussing classic designs, more daring shirts, styles that have surprised us, and those that have made us want to buy them straight away. Without further ado, let’s start with the shirt in fifth place.

AC MILAN HOME JERSEY

In fifth place, we’ve decided to feature the Milan jersey, a fairly classic design that retains the traditional red and black vertical stripes that represent the club’s history. However, this season Nike has added a very special detail: inspiration drawn from the architecture of the city of Milan. The shirt features some fascinating background patterns reminiscent of the Italian city’s architectural structures, creating a perfect blend of art and football. It’s a design that respects the club’s identity whilst adding a modern and distinctive touch.

MANCHESTER CITY THIRD JERSEY

In fourth place we find a much bolder jersey, with a design that has left no one indifferent. It’s a design that perfectly reflects English culture and its freedom of expression through fashion and the most original designs. It features a mix of colours and shapes which, when combined, create a sort of work of art on the jersey. It’s an unusual concept in the world of football, where more traditional designs usually predominate, but that’s precisely why we find it such an interesting and daring idea.

FC BARCELONA AWAY JERSEY

Messi is staying at Barcelona, so we’ll once again see him wearing the Blaugrana’s away kit. Of the Catalan club’s three jerseys, this is surely the one most prized by many fans. It features colours we’ve seen before in Barcelona’s history, but which never fail to impress thanks to their elegance. The design combines two main colours: black as the base colour for the entire jersey and gold for the details, such as the Nike logo and the FC Barcelona crest. An elegant, modern jersey with real presence.

CHELSEA HOME JERSEY

The Chelsea jersey is one of those kits that looks even more impressive when worn by the players. It is elegant, simple and perfectly embodies the London club’s philosophy. Chelsea’s traditional blue takes centre stage once again, maintaining the team’s historic identity. There are also subtle black details on areas such as the sleeves and collar, alongside white elements such as the sponsor’s logo and Nike’s famous Swoosh. A classic design that proves you don’t always have to take risks to create a spectacular jersey.

BORUSSIA DORTMUND HOME JERSEY

We finish with the jersey of a team known for its young talents, fast players and boundless energy: Borussia Dortmund. Sancho and his teammates will wear a spectacular home kit, in which the club’s signature bright yellow is combined with black stripes reminiscent of a lightning bolt. A design that perfectly embodies Dortmund’s identity: speed, power and youth. A jersey that not only stands out visually, but also conveys the playing style of its players.
