To talk about
Leo Messi’s new football boots, and to do them justice; we’re running out of adjectives to describe this footballer, who leaves us speechless every weekend and surprises us time and time again with moves we all know by heart, yet which still leave his opponents in the dust. How frustrating it must be for his opponents, who, even though they know all his moves, are unable to stop him. But this is Leo Messi, a breed apart, a talent created for a single purpose: to delight those of us who today can witness live the artistry of a player who has become the greatest of all time. The King of football, the King of adidas.
That’s why
adidas takes such special care of him, treating him to all sorts of exclusive items, including exclusive football boots. Today, a new pair of
adidas Nemeziz football boots is being launched: this time, a graphic tribute known as the
Messi The King Pack.
Nemeziz Messi The King Pack
In these new football boots, we see that orange is the dominant colour – a shade with which Messi seems to feel at ease. This colour is complemented in a myriad of geometric ways by black, which covers the entire upper, including the name ‘MESSI’. Yellow is a must, of course, to add that eye-catching touch. To conclude, and to honour everything Messi has done for football—and, of course, the very essence of this boot—we find a majestic crown adorning the heel of the new Nemeziz.
Lionel Messi is, of course, closely associated with the city of Barcelona and FC Barcelona. Ever since, as a 13-year-old boy, he landed at El Prat to make his lifelong dream come true: to become a professional footballer. That goal soon proved too modest, because 17 years on, the Argentine striker is regarded by many as the greatest footballer of all time. And this is what adidas has sought to highlight, always with the utmost respect.
Technical features: adidas Nemeziz 19.1
The shell continues to utilise AgilityBandage technology, but this time the bandage is woven into the instep, allowing it to rise evenly up both sides of the boot. A new synthetic finish protects this material and provides extra grip, which was one of the weak points of the previous generation. Inside the boot, there is an elastic membrane that hugs the instep, much like the one in the ACE 16+, securing it to the base so that stability is not compromised by the absence of laces.
And we’ll finish by talking about the sole. The first thing we notice is the return of the modular sole, which we haven’t seen on adidas football boots for almost 10 years. The new plate structure makes the boot lighter and increases its responsiveness. On top of this, there are 11 conical studs in a traditional configuration, which will provide traction during the most aggressive moments of play. Let’s not forget that these are Leo Messi’s new football boots.
