New in: 2019/2020 Tottenham 3rd kit

Tottenham’s new blue retro jersey is part of the unstoppable trend we’ve been seeing recently among many of Europe’s top teams. The American brand has gone for blue – a design we’ve been really looking forward to seeing. This new jersey is all about that vintage football feel.

Tottenham’s third kit for Champions League matches is now a reality. These new kits break the mould, as the clean lines that characterise the Spurs’ home kit are usually reflected, albeit symbolically, in their subsequent kits. Of course, from a footballing perspective, the Champions League runners-up will demonstrate their determination and ambition to continue winning titles, not only in England but in Europe as well.

Tottenham third kit

For this new third kit, Spurs, in collaboration with Nike, have opted for a trendy colour: blue. We believe this wasn’t simply down to inspiration – which we’ll discuss below – but that Nike and Tottenham have also done so to tap into the unstoppable ‘Jersey Culture’ trend through their choice of colour. ‘New White Hart Lane’ is Tottenham’s ground, and this is something Spurs fans need to take on board. They are leaving behind a ground steeped in history, but this is their present; feeling it and living it is part of what the Tottenham jersey represent.

We’ll be seeing these retro designs gradually appear on virtually all the teams sponsored by the American brand. It’s a wonderful time for jersey enthusiasts, as, little by little, we’ll be reminded that the football of the 90s hasn’t been forgotten – not even in London. It’s a mix of emotions; Spurs fans mustn’t forget where they’ve come from, whilst enjoying the wonderful run they’re currently on. The crucial moments on the pitch will rest on the boots of Harry Kane, as well as in the gloves of Hugo Lloris, a World Cup winner with the French national team and one of the best goalkeepers in the world.

Technical features: Tottenham jersey

Although this is a jersey with a retro feel and design, don’t be fooled by its appearance – it’s not all about classic style. It’s 2019, and although Tottenham is a traditional club, it knows how to adapt and keep up with the times; as demonstrated by the Vaporknit technology, which the players will wear during matches – the Spurs’ top-of-the-range kit. This technology is designed to minimise friction and provide ventilation. Of course, with this top-of-the-range Tottenham jersey, lightness and an optimal fit will be key to ensuring that both you and the players perform in the best possible conditions. These Tottenham kits have a special feature: as well as being among the best jerseys for footballers, they’re environmentally friendly. These ktis are made from at least 96 per cent recycled polyester, meaning that each kit is made from an average of seven plastic bottles.
