In 1998, Nike introduced a special shoe that sought to provide runners with maximum support while also boasting a stunning aesthetic. These shoes were the Nike Air Max Plus, which we now pay tribute to.
Taking inspiration from this shoe, the American brand's designers translated its aesthetics into the Nike Mercurial football boot, and the result is simply incredible.
The design is similar to that of the Nike Air Max, with all the familiar details, including the swoosh in the centre and the lateral lines, which will certainly improve grip with the ball. Another detail is the Nike Tuned Air logo on the air plate on the outsole and the heel, making this boot a real beauty.
The colour of these boots is inspired by the blue Florida sky at sunset, which the creator, Sean McDowell, saw while designing this work of art.
Technically, the Nike Mercurial football boots remain unchanged except for the slight addition of lateral bars crossing the upper. Everything else remains the same, giving us a tight-fitting boot with excellent ball control, thanks to the aggressive and reactive traction provided by the Airzoom technology.
In short, it's a special limited-edition model that we've already seen on the feet of French players, and it's simply a beast. We will have a few pairs of these trainers for sale, and you will have to be quick as soon as they are released, as they will sell out very quickly.
