New Nike Phantom “Vortex pack”

We have a new Nike pack featuring the second versions of the Nike Phantom GX and Nike Phantom Luna. Let's take a closer look at them.

The Nike Phantom football boot range is changing, with the second version of the two designs being completely redesigned. Firstly, the upper is now the same for both the GX and the Luna. The only difference is that the Luna has a high collar, similar to the Nike Magista.

Having clarified this point, Nike has taken one of the steps that many of us were asking for: to introduce the new outsole that we saw with the Phantom Luna, which featured the 'Cyclone360'. This technology not only provides traction in the forefoot, but also offers extra support for lateral movements, helping to prevent injury by providing firm support during these movements.

The next step was to redesign the upper. We have kept the main material, the 'Gripknit', a Flyknit derivative that provides a sticky grip, but mixed with the touch reinforcements that we had in the Luna. The result is a new, more textured upper that retains the 'sticky' feel of the Phantom GX.

In terms of feel, the last is wider than in previous versions, providing more room in the toe area. In a somewhat curious move, we have done away with the double-layer shell and ghost laces. The collar is raised in both versions and provides extra reinforcement in the ankle area, which some people will like and others won't.

The touch is still great, with plenty of grip. The boot profile is slightly higher and the fit is slightly lower than in previous versions (I guess we already have Mercurial for this).

In conclusion, this model takes a step away from previous versions of both boots. While it retains the essence of the GX concept with its sticky grip and the Luna's reinforced texture, it offers a fit that adapts to a wider range of foot shapes. We're confident that many of you who try the second version of the Nike Phantom family will appreciate the enhanced touch.
