Puma unveils its new winter football

La Liga unveils its winter ball. The HEART OF LA LIGA is changing colour, adopting a bold shade of pink. The German brand has arrived in La Liga to bring about a host of changes, as well as breaking away from the monotony of the colour yellow.

The new Puma La Liga winter match ball comes in a striking shade of pink. After we learnt back in June that the La Liga match ball was changing sponsors after 20 years, Puma has made a sensational entry into La Liga, as we are clearly seeing through high-profile signings such as Luis Suárez, Jan Oblak and Lukaku.

Following the unveiling of Puma’s first official La Liga match ball last June, the time has now come to take a look at the new ball that will be used in matches in La Liga Santander (the Spanish top flight) and La Liga SmartBank (the second tier). La Liga’s new winter match ball will be in use from the 24th of October 2019 until the 23rd of February 2020.

New La Liga winter ball

LaLiga is magic, and PUMA is now changing the colour of this competition’s heartbeat, demonstrating that the magic begins when the ball starts to move. With the new slogan, “Repainting LaLiga”, the sports brand is unveiling a striking pink design for the LaLiga match ball.

This football retains the innovative 18-panel heat-sealed construction of the previous model, similar to that of a golf ball, which ensures a straight flight and greater consistency when shooting. The larger panels allow for better contact with the ball, offering a soft feel thanks to the inclusion of an additional layer of POE foam that enhances sensitivity, resulting in a firm touch and greater consistency in the bounce. Its 1mm Hi-Solid Dimple PU (Sang Fang) outer shell improves aerodynamics and ensures high resistance to wear and tear, resulting in better overall performance.

The new Puma balls feature perfect sphericity, which ensures reduced water absorption, and include a rubber inner tube with a PAL (PUMA AIR LOCK) valve for excellent air retention. In short, a ball with explosive power, just like the new colour chosen for it: the bold PINK ALERT.
