The entire adidas Predator Edge range

Today we're back with one of those posts we love, as we're going to take a look at all the boots available in the new adidas Predator range. Let's get started.

adidas Predator Edge+

We begin with the top-of-the-range model, which we reviewed in full. This model modifies certain distinctive features, but retains all the essence of Predator.

We have a Primeknit upper that is relatively similar to previous generations, with the new Zoneskin, which redesigns the ‘Predator element’ giving it this ribbed shape. It is distributed throughout all areas of contact with the ball, giving us one of the best (if not the best) grip on the ball.

The fit and adjustment are slightly different as it is a slightly wider last than its predecessor, and has more space in the toe, something that players with wider feet will surely appreciate. The sole is modular, called Facetframe, which includes the Powerfacet, the diamond shape visible on the sole that helps shift weight forward and give you more power when striking the ball.

adidas Predator Edge.1

We continue with the high-end range, but with lace-up versions, a very common choice if you still prefer the more classic fit within Predator.

We have two versions, one with a high heel counter very similar to the plus model, and another with a low heel counter, again to suit a wider audience looking for an even more classic fit. In terms of construction materials, technologies and boot performance, the differences with the higher-end model are negligible. In this case, friends, it is more a question of fit and comfort when choosing between the low or high version, once you have ruled out the laceless option, which, if you haven't tried it, we recommend, as it is a totally different sensation.

adidas Predator Edge.2

We begin with the first price reduction, and all the materials used in the shell are modified. We are looking at a Primeknit that is harder and less malleable, which will give us a slightly more durable boot.

As for the ‘Predator element’, its construction has been modified with a distribution similar to the elite models, but with a different construction. As for the sole, the division between the sole and the PowerFacet has been removed. The stud distribution and triad shape have been maintained in order to preserve the same type of traction that is characteristic of the entire line.

adidas Predator Edge.3

We continue to move down the range and have a performance boot also made of microfibre with different stitching, but with PU seals and a very striking texture on the upper.

The Zoneskin, or ribs, are not only painted, but also have a certain relief, which maintains the essence of the model. Even in the third model in the range, the grip is not as aggressive, but it is still very prominent. The sole is practically identical to the Edge.2 model, with an aggressive distribution and the same mould.

It is worth noting that this model comes in high, low and laceless versions. This is key, as it gives us a laceless alternative and allows us to experience that unique feeling of not having laces, at a much lower price. A great move by the German brand.

adidas Predator Edge.4

And we finish with the low-end model, made of synthetic microfibre, mainly aimed at the youngest members of the family, with different versions available, including FG studs, AG studs, and even turf studs.

A durable range that still retains details of the Predator essence, designed for all those who are just starting out in the game of football.

In conclusion, we have a wide range of options to choose from, as adidas offers versions with laces, without laces, with high and low heel counters in almost all of its versions, as well as different types of soles. All these options allow us to find the perfect boot for our needs, without ever losing the essence of Predator. Now available at Futbol Emotion.
