As we said, today's focus will be on the best leather boots for the 2023/24 season. We often think that classics are unbeatable and that modern boots can't compete, but that's a mistake. While we know which classic boots are the best, modern boots are true works of art when innovations and advances come together.
Best leather football boots
5- Nike Tiempo Premier III
This ranking would not be complete without the classic boot from the American brand. We were really impressed by the price/quality ratio of Nike's most classic boot. The combination of top-quality leather, good weight and an excellent sole — even for artificial grass — makes for a fabulous boot. It's worth bearing in mind that manufacturing a leather football boot is expensive, especially when it's made of kangaroo leather, yet Nike has managed to bring a mid-high range boot to the market for less than 100 euros. You couldn't ask for much more.
4- New Balance 442
We have talked about these boots several times in several videos, as they really are excellent. They are made with leather at the front and synthetic microfibre at the back. The leather is extremely soft, but the key feature is the sole.
It has a high-quality sole that reinforces foot support with internal heel pods, making it feel like a high-end boot. Once again, we have an exceptional quality boot at an affordable price, which provides all the benefits of natural leather without compromising on the advantages of a new plate.
3-adidas Copa Icon
We continue with another rarity: this adidas model combines the leather of the Copa Mundial with the outsole of the current Copa Pure. This gives us the best of both worlds: a bulky, wide boot with the reassurance of the classic adidas boot body, as well as a stable and traction-friendly outsole.
It is in a very good price range, as it doesn't cost as much as high-end models and is only slightly more expensive than other mid-range models. This gives us the option of experiencing all the sensations of a classic leather boot with the chassis of a modern boot. Well played, adidas!

2- adidas Copa Pure 2
We've reached the highest point, where we find the adidas Natural Leather Boot. This modern boot features the Copa stamp and all the benefits of natural leather.
The outsole is reminiscent of the old Nemeziz and there are two versions: the .1 version has a more classic tongue and a chunkier fit, while the 'Plus' version has an attached tongue, a more modern fit and a more refined, minimalist heel counter. These are two great options for natural leather lovers who don't want to miss out on new technologies.
1-Mizuno Morelia Made In Japan
These are the best football boots I have ever tried. I said as much in my post about these Mizuno Morelia boots, which are made in Japan. The leather is handmade, which justifies its high price. Unlike the Indonesian-made version, the quality of the leather is clearly noticeable. How is it possible that this classic boot is so light? It's hard to imagine how Mizuno has made the concept of a lightweight football boot so effective, because the Mizuno Morelia weighs only 206 grams in size 42. The classic tongue of the Mizuno Morelia protects the foot when striking a shot, and the Velcro incorporated in the lacing area makes it easier to use than its competitors. The entire chassis is finished with an extremely aggressive insole that provides excellent grip inside the boot.
Without a doubt, the Mizuno Morelia II 'Made in Japan' is the boot of every footballer's dreams. If only more people could prioritise quality over the vast sums of money paid to professionals by big brands!

Bonus – adidas Copa Mundial
This is the most iconic football boot in history. Launched by Adidas on the occasion of the 1982 World Cup in Spain, this boot has been a bestseller ever since, proving that 'the little old German lady' is here to stay. The Copa Mundial is made entirely of kangaroo leather, from front to back. If you regularly play in leather boots, you will know that kangaroo leather moulds to the shape of your feet better than any other material. This was also the first time such light, soft, supple leather had been used in football boots. This improves the feel when touching the ball, increasing the accuracy of passes and shots. And today, in 2023, it still works in the same way. It is an essential addition to this ranking.
