Cristiano Ronaldo has not had the best summer, and he is not getting as much playing time as we all expected this season. Despite this, CR7 remains the most important player in the Portuguese national team's World Cup squad in Qatar. This will probably be his last appearance in the tournament, and therefore also his last chance to win it. This is why Nike has made him some exclusive boots that he alone will wear.
If we think about all the Mercurial boots designed for the Portuguese champion, few, if any, have disappointed us. As always, the American brand has pulled an ace out of its sleeve by presenting a truly insane boot. This time, Portuguese architecture has played a key role in creating this masterpiece, reviving an aesthetic that is synonymous with the Iberian Peninsula, and Portugal in particular, throughout the world.
Azulejos are ceramic tiles painted with blue and white enamel and are a characteristic feature of most Portuguese architecture and culture. Let's take a look at how Cristiano's football boots feature a design that is very reminiscent of the aesthetics of azulejos, both in terms of pattern and colours.
The Nike logo stands out against the blue and white of the boot. It is a shade of gold and bronze, the same colour that characterises the trophy which only one team will lift. Nike obviously hopes that its captain, the Portuguese striker, will be the one to lift it. The boot also features several hidden details, such as the 'CR7' logo on the inside of the insole and the upper. You will have to discover these for yourself when you buy Ronaldo's new Mercurials on the Fútbol Emotion website.
New colourways for two silos from the swoosh brand, which are already filling the courts. The Attack Pack is already showing off, and we're going to take a look at all its details.
We have a new limited edition of the adidas Predator 26, which come in spectacular colourways and a very special design. Let's find out everything these new Unlocked boots have to offer.
