HI-VIS, which stands for high visibility, is the name of this new ball from the American brand, which we will see in upcoming Premier League matches starting this weekend. The ball, with its new orange colour, retains the cross design we saw on the official ball used during the first months of the competition, but with a few slight changes.
A gradient is introduced into the stripes of the crosses with the mixture of colours, to give it even more visibility in low light conditions, as well as a more modern detail to this ball with a retro essence, which once again recalls the 30 years of one of the best leagues in the world, the Premier League.
Technically speaking, the Nike Flight remains unchanged. It features the flagship Aerowsculpt technology, which consists of the raised pattern that covers the entire ball and provides greater structure, more grip and, above all, a smooth flight without interference, as air passes through the gaps left by the raised pattern, allowing the ball to travel longer distances with less air resistance.
Of course, another technology is ACC (All Conditions Control), a flagship technology within Nike that makes the ball waterproof and prevents it from gaining weight despite playing in rain, snow, or any inclement weather conditions, something we already had in the normal ball but which becomes very necessary in this winter version.
And that concludes our review of Nike's new Premier League winter ball, one of the most technologically advanced footballs around, which brings with it all the retro essence, this time in the classic orange-yellow colour typical of Nike's hi-vis range. A real treat that is now available at Futbol Emotion.
