FOOTBALL BOOTS FOR WIDE FEET
In this post, we won’t be including the classic options for wide feet, such as the adidas Copa Mundial or the Mizuno Morelia, as we wanted to cater to those footballers who want a wide boot without compromising on the latest models and technologies. Whilst we don’t rule out the fact that the aforementioned boots are genuinely good options for wide feet, we’re focusing on the newer models.
Nike Phantom GT
One of Nike’s latest football boots, which offers a fantastic feel thanks to its full Flyknit upper, but with a slightly wider last than the Mercurial. This is something many users had been asking for, and the brand has finally delivered.
A very well-rounded football boot that doesn’t have particularly robust toe caps, but does feature a textured upper, which provides the perfect Flyknit fit, with good ball feel and a last that’s more comfortable for wider feet. Nike Phantom GT, highly recommended.
Mizuno Rebula
This is a model that is sometimes overlooked in the Japanese brand’s catalogue, but it is truly a luxury boot. As is always the case with Mizuno, it features kangaroo leather, but this is concentrated on the front, ensuring a snug fit without compromising on the comfort of natural leather – a speciality of Mizuno.
Its width falls somewhere between Mizuno’s other two models, being neither as wide as the classic Morelia boots nor as narrow as the Morelia Neo. As a result, it’s a decidedly wide boot that’s very comfortable and has a modern feel, without losing the essence of Mizuno’s football boots.
adidas Predator Freak
This is a rare model to find in this collection, as it has a slightly narrower fit, particularly given that it is a ‘laceless’ boot. However, the Primeknit upper is certainly stretchy and offers excellent comfort for wider feet, without losing the snug fit typical of this material.
A masterstroke by the German brand, which, with the new design of the ‘Predator Element’, captures the essence of a boot that features in every footballer’s collection.

We’ve come to the latest adidas model, and if you follow us on social media, you’ll know we’re absolutely smitten with it. It’s a true masterpiece in terms of both technology and fit, and it fits medium and wide feet perfectly.
This fit is achieved thanks to the new Fusionskin technology, as well as the boot’s design, which is specifically engineered to ensure we don’t lose any feel for the ball, whatever the shape of our foot. And as if that weren’t enough, the natural leather on the forefoot provides that extra touch of comfort, resulting in a boot that’s a real winner from every angle.
Puma Future
And we finish with Neymar Jr’s football boot, a boot which, like its predecessors, retains that wider fit, leaving the narrower fit to its sister models, the Puma Ultra.
It’s worth noting that, although the boot’s last is wide, Puma hasn’t overlooked the importance of a snug fit in this area and has managed to provide extra support with the new adaptive strap across the instep. It also relieves pressure from the strap in the toe area, resulting in one of the most comfortable boots available today, especially if you have wide feet.
And that wraps up our round-up of some great models for anyone with wide feet, which are sure to give you fantastic results.
