Nike Tiempo Premier II 2021 football boots

We reviewed this boot from the American brand a while back, but we’d like to take another look at it now that new colours and designs have been added to a range we’re absolutely smitten with.

RONALDINHO'S FOOTBALL BOOTS

Here we have a pair of boots that are special in every way. Crafted from kangaroo leather, they feature a tongue and tapered studs that round off this nod to classic style from the American brand.

This boot fills that nostalgic void by bringing back a model that, not so long ago, was among the top-of-the-range options and which we therefore still see in top-flight matches on the feet of the very best players.

In terms of construction, it’s very simple: the upper is mostly made of kangaroo leather, reminiscent of the old Nike Tiempo, and features various stitching details to prevent it from stretching and expanding excessively. There’s also a Velcro tongue—something that traditionalists are sure to love—as well as the classic Nike logo on the back. The sole features low-profile conical studs to keep you as close to the ground as possible—a real winner.

And as if that weren’t enough, the sole comes in a version for wet pitches – the SG, anti-clog – one of Nike’s best technologies available to everyone, since, as I’m sure you know, this boot costs barely €100.

We couldn’t fail to mention, either, the latest colourways of this now iconic boot, which draw on classic Tiempo colours. Specifically, one of the latest releases features the classic cream and black boot inspired by the ones Ronaldinho wore during his time at Milan – a look that’s absolutely stunning.

They’re also available in all-black, as well as in the classic black and white colourway typical of the original Nike Tiempo boots.

And these are the Nike Tiempo Premier II, a boot that offers incredible value for money and, on top of that, has a simply perfect nostalgic touch.  A choice we cannot help but recommend, despite the passing of the years, and one we encourage you to try, in any case. The genuine Tiempo leather.
