As always at Futbol Emotion, we are on the lookout for any new developments, and in recent weeks we have seen many Predator players wearing completely black boots, as in this photo of Leicester midfielder Dewsbury-Hall.
Another standout player we have seen in several training sessions is Jude Bellingham, the young star who plays for Borussia Dortmund. He wore completely black boots in recent training sessions.
From the photos, it seems that they are a prototype of the adidas Predator football boots, as they have ‘rubber’ reinforcements or something similar on the upper, which is then mixed with a kind of knit, although we are not sure how this is done. These reinforcements no longer look like spikes, as they were colloquially called, like the Demonskin on the current Predators, but rather like panels, although it is not clear to us how they will work, how rough or hard they are, which is difficult to estimate from a single photo.
We also saw Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale wearing boots that were certainly similar to those of the Borusser, where we could see little, but it seems that they are a prototype or some kind of test for Predator players. The last in line that we saw wearing these boots was San Sebastian player Mikel Merino, who was spotted wearing them in training.
This shows the three adidas stripes and also that the pattern, far from being minimalist, is actually quite bold, which fits perfectly with the Predator philosophy.
We can't see much of the sole, but we can guess that the studs aren't conical. However, that's about all we can tell from these photos.
It seems that something new is brewing at adidas. We'll be keeping an eye out.
